The Conservative Party

Corbyn is definitely Liverpool and the Tories Utd.

Corbynites are a bunch of total weirdo’s, overly emotional and cringeworthy, that behave totally irrationally and falsely claim he’s the messiah and somehow special.

The Tories are a bunch of horrible arrogant cunts, who think their party is more important than the sport (country) in general, successful for far too long and don’t realise the writing is on the wall and they’re finished as a party.
Bang on mate, time to give the commies a go !!

I agree a lot of them do and putting Stewart up against him would be pointless, I wouldn’t totally rule out Gove beating him if he gets there. The non show and general media silence will have some affect. Plus when he does get in front of the cameras I think he will be shown up.
Stewart does seem to have some appeal to labour voters; not so much to the conservative membership. Odd as fuck that he’s second favourite.

Stewart is the only one not talking absolute rubbish on negotiating the Withdrawal Agreement again.

He’s doing well with everyone else that isn’t on the hard Brexit side of the Tory Party because he’s speaking the truth.

There is no other option with the Irish border than remaining or taking the Withdrawal Agreement.

I like this from the New Statesman....

We are about to have yet another Old Etonian prime minister, chosen for us by an ageing, Jag-driving, 19th-hole-bothering Conservative gerontocracy with an imperial twitch and a growing passion for a no-deal Brexit.

The Old Etonian in question is the most cartoonish example of the caste: an entitled, amoral chancer who has repeatedly and flagrantly proved himself unfit for office. His sole qualifications appear to be impermeable self-confidence, a schoolboyish sense of destiny, and a character act that even Richard Curtis would have rejected as a half-worked cartoonist’s doodle.

This, somehow, is the culmination of decades of political debate and policy development around class, social mobility, meritocracy, and opportunity — in 21st century Britain it is still the natural order of things that the plebs be ruled over by a feckless, spoiled princeling.
Despite his huge lead among Conservative members and, now, among MPs, the only way to guarantee Boris Johnson wins, due to his habit of saying and doing things that are shudderingly offensive, due to his disregard for fact and for the wellbeing of other people, is to keep him away from the media and public debate until he is safely over the line. Everything will be ok afterwards, apparently.

Interesting that it's Brexit before anything other than Corbyn as PM.

They have simply lost the plot now - the 40 year old festering wound that has infected the Tory Party has now caused a blood poisoning so deep that it would rather see itself dismembered and disemboweled rather than simply take some medicine to try and cure or control the infection. The idea that they would rather destroy themselves to prevent Corbyn getting in is lunacy. With no Tory Party left to contest future elections the next Labour leader would get in almost unopposed and they could be there for years to come as the right floundered about in a succession of breakaway parties, single issue parties and just general disengagement by some from the political process. It would be the biggest most pointless self sacrifice in political history ( even bigger than Chuka's lol ) but as I say they are so consumed by the word Brexit they are as a group incapable of thinking through what they propose.

Two World Wars and a dalliance with Europe have gotten in the way of the true Tory division: free trade. If Brexit appears divisive today, just wait for the next three years.

Indeed and it will be a bloodbath.

I think it is easy to negotiate mutually as you would by joining the EU but to negotiate trade as a single country whilst not being a single country...

This is equivalent to the complexity of somewhere like California negotiating to leave the USA.

Words simply fail me. And these people are selecting our next PM. Does anyone have a rational explanation for this? The C and U party would rather see the breakup of the U.K. than give up on Brexit. I wonder how Ruth will explain this one.

I've said it before, it is Brexit at all costs now, and has been for a while. I'm not sure why, though
