I think yesterdays events will have just stiffened Philip Rutman's resolve to have it all out at a tribunal - he will have known Alex Allan and won't be impressed with how his position was undermined by Johnson - its shit or bust now. I doubt it - the moment Allan resigned yesterday and the number 10 statement said that part of the reason Patel was let off was because nobody told her the effect she was having on people - Rutman issued a statement saying that was bollocks and that he had personally told her what effects she was having ....... I think he wants to stab her in the front instead of in the back like she did him.
