Didn’t he actual take the lessons? I mean if he did - and there is nothing to suggest he didn’t - then what has he done wrong?

Or are we saying someone that was born in Poland shouldn’t be allowed to take polish lessons on account of them being born there? Which is a little presumptuous to say the least - if you were born in a stable you wouldn’t automatically become a horse.

You obviously didn't read the article properly. It does say he is a 'fluent Polish speaking MP'.

I read the Shropshire posts article on the subject which stated he had been taking lessons since 2015. And, according to the article posted, by 2019 he claimed he was fluent. 4 years of lessons - that seems reasonable.

None of that is the point. If he used tax payers money to pay for lessons and took them it’s hard to see what he has done wrong. Unless he’s paid a mate to teach him - which I’m sure if that were the case that would be the story not “Polish born man takes Polish lessons”

It’s a quarter of the entire budget for language lessons for all the MPs. It’s supposed to be for MPs who have many constituents who don’t have English as a first language so they can engage with them. There are very few Poles in Shrewsbury and even fewer who don’t speak English. Not only that, he also gets paid £6000 per month by the Electrum Group, so he could pay for Polish lessons himself, out of his £153,000 salary.
He was 6 when he left Poland, with his Polish mother and father, so it’s inconceivable that he didn’t speak Polish fluently.

Mind you, he has already been done for claiming rent money he wasn’t entitled to, been done for bullying, been done for trying to persuade a young staff member to go on a date with someone old enough to be her father, as he was a ‘rich businessman contact’ of his.

The guy has boasted he is fluent in Polish on a number of occasions - his tuition mysteriously costs at least twice that of any other claim made by any MP and also the Tory Twat was reference to him having been done for being a bully but like all this crop of Twats he went unpunished then boasted about it.

Still if you like him its your choice

Wait what? Is that right? The entire budget for MPs to learn a language is £88k a year? I’m genuinely shocked.

My guess is that’s half the problem here. He strikes me as “ambitious” and boasted he was fluent when he wasn’t and then had to up his game. I don’t have much of an opinion of him but from the few bits I’ve read he seems like the sort who is only in politics for what he can get out of it - a complete prick if you like. Doesn’t mean we shouldn’t give him a fair trial though.

I'll give you this, you never back down. A tory MP could be stood over a body, shouting "i killed the bastard" with the knife in his/her hand, and you'd say that until we've seen the CCTV everyone needs to stop jumping to ridiculous conclusions.
