It’s this bizarre obsession we have that if you are poor/on modest income and in receipt of temporary assistance, or State benefits and/or prIvate charity then under no circumstances are you allow to enjoy yourself, or provide a small treat for your kids or whatever. If you are on benefits and your TV screen is considered too big, then The Sun and other puritan fuckers will hunt you down and hang you.

Oh, and since we are all receiving State benefits in the form of energy subsidies, shouldn’t every food outlet be empty right now? I mean, if someone can afford a Big Mac or a pint down the pub why are they getting State handouts to pay their energy bills?
