Plenty of Tories ( and Reform ) commenting on the dire state of the UK armed forces ....... not a peep from the architects of it being stripped to the bone - Cameron, Osborne, Mayday and Johnson - about their involvement in its demise - you'd think they would be ashamed or something

Annoys me to fuck when the cheeky cunts come out with their ‘let’s go to war’ bollox. The current government know exactly where Defence is at and, although a little embarrassing saying no to certain calls, it would be far more embarrassing to actually get involved and tell the world how weak we are in this sector.

Didn’t Johnson say we needed boots on the ground in Ukraine, without any weapons? Absolute fucking charlatan that continued to weaken our military as he approved public funds moving to the super rich.

and prior to that statement which was in the press because he was nothing by then he argued with Tom Tudgenhadt in a Commons Select Committee that investment in cyber was here its at because tank battles were a thing of the past ......presumably to justify defence spending cuts. Never did the hard yards did he?

PS. Lewis Goodall is making a real mark as an interviewer no matter who is on the receiving end. The sooner he takes over from Ferrari in a morning, the better.

I agree. Think his analysis is usually pretty good but even when not, is interesting. Although not sure about his view about all inheritance going to the State

Philp manufactures a story blaming Starmer for an asylum seeker murdering a woman, and the right wing media have run with it - then the BBC Today programme reports the right wing press story in their "what the papers say" (aka what the billionaires want you to read).

The victim's mother actually said she knows it was the previous government's policy to blame * but Philp claims he'd have been sent to Rwanda rather than Walsall.
