Saw the Cure at Cavendish House (the old Poly union building) in 1980. They played for so long the Poly turned the house lights on and when they still wouldn't stop they pulled the plugs on them!

Still the only gig I've been to where this has happened.

pornography is, in my opinion, one of the greatest punk albums of all time.

Songs of a Lost World almost as good as Disintegration. Seen them a couple of times at Rock City.

I saw the cure last summer. They played for almost three hours and sounded great.
They also refused to allow Ticketmaster to use dynamic pricing and Robert Smith demanded that Ticketmaster refunded everybody $10 per ticket.

I thought the same but Joy Division were cool. The Cure are not.

They're from Crawley. One one cool from Crawley.

i did the whole banshees tour when smith played guitar for them.
got chatting to him a few times during the soundchecks and after gigs.
all i wanted to talk about was music.
all he wanted to talk about was fit women.

If that's your look go for it, but you just look like a silly old **** trying to fight father time, while losing badly.

one of the core values of being a punk was/is not giving a shit what other people think about how you look.

This is quality. I like the new album tracks as well as the old stuff.

I love live music and bands who still make new music after all these years. Hope they announce a tour on the back of this.

Alongside City it has been a lifelong passion.

Same for me, music and City have dominated the vast majority of my leisure time. I try to get to a gig a month if possible.
Love the Cure, seen the 3 times, they are brilliant live.
