Why do I get the feeling that there are several posters here on bluemoon that would actually prefer us to "fluff it" and miss out on winning the league?

Is it because they then would have the opportunity to point their finger at someone, and I don't mean a player, and blame them?

I do hope that I am wrong having that thought.

Me and my mates disagree, we often talk about typical City over a few beers or travelling to and from games.

He's right. Every club who have fluffed things think they have a "typical" tag. The term "typical Newcastle" is more widely used outside City fans than any other "typical" tag (where Sheffield Wednesday, Nottingham Forest and Tottenham have had the term used on them too). The only typical thing is that we weren't good enough or were shit.

I haven't give this a thought. I have though many times shuddered at a "Doomsday" scenario. Last game of the Season or the Home Derby and a real howler of a decision goes against us and it proves to be vital.

Right at this point in time though, if we win it by a point or two points can I ask you all to give thanks to Joe's magnificent save against Villa the other day!

Also in the week in which the Toure's returned and Balo finished his ban and we get back to full strength lets not lose sight of the fact that the BEST side usually comes out on top.

Anyway, back to the original question; Bad "Typical City" - we only lose top spot after the last Ball is kicked.

Good "Typical City" - by Derby Day; United are at their point of no return and they slaughter us but cant put us out of the Game and a Kolorov free kick late on (hopefully with a wicked deflection) steals us a 1 -1 Draw and the Title race if not won, is effectively over.

Also, let it be that the goal should never have stood and was never a free kick in the first place.
