Great post Blue! Hey I'm 48 & lived in the shadows of the scum for far too long! Once a blue always a Blue is OUR Motto. I am serious when I say winning the FA CUP, Embarrasing the rags 6.1 in thier own back yard (Swamp actually), & most of all Winning the League & becoming CHAMPIONS has more than made me happy for life! As you all know, the way we battled back winning our last 6 matches & leaving the Scum as runners up made it even more historical.

The day we believe , actually believe refs are bent and / or the FA is, the game is over. By all means believe refs are human, can make HONEST mistakes and try their best to be even handed and carry on enjoying the great game.
Media agenda, Well that's a different thing, those immoral bastard journalists will write anything to get a story printed, their editors want scum stories to sell papers so they crawl up every rag arse they can, just as they did with red bin dippers in the late 70's and 80's.
Inferiority complex with, or obsession with all things scum- depends on your definition. I first stood on the Kippax in 1967 and for years knew we were at the very least better than them. I have attended over 60 derbies and never seen a ushited player in possession, only blues with it or trying to get it back. Obsession, maybe.
Inferiority complex, never, but I have never missed an opportunity to take the piss out of them, (is that obsession?) being Blue built up a resilience to turn everything back on them. I remember 3 of us going to Doncaster ( desparate to see any City team win a game) , the night after losing in the league cup away at boro, and watching the youth team lose in the "Youth FA Cup proper". Returned to the pub full of scum who'd just beaten west ham in the league cup and wiping the floor with them. Birtles not been able to score. Robson in the ladies. York hammering them in the league cup ( them bastards went to York away, I didn't) only winning the treble when we came back from the death in the play off final. Sexton and Doherty. Knighton. far too many examples to write here.
This summer has been by far the best for piss taking, the last few years were the build up, they knew we were coming - you could see the fear.
Now the paronia is here, can we do it again and finally kill them off for years to come?

I was there as a kid when we used to win things in the late sixties and early seventies and through all the dark days to the present time.

Fantastic post. To confess, I'm new to the party. I became a City fan when Carlos came over.
I'm from the states, and found your fabulous league when Carlos wore red.
I have listened and studied about this club. And was so completely taken by the mayhem after Sergios' finish. Congratulations to all the City fans. Well deserved. And well over due.
But even I know united will always get the treatment in the press. And City will always get the nob.
But how can someone get worked up with the trophy in hand.
This is not a fluke.
Does united go get RVP (etc.)if they had won?
Let the drama go and act like champions because you are.
