What are the pubs like near the ground in terms of similarity to those round Maine Road. What are the equivalents to the Claremont, Sherwood, Hardys Well or the Parkside for example?

Went into the eastlands bar first time yesterday, lively atmoshere, the shite were on the telly, so hundreds of Stokies about :-) alright but its the queing up that kills and the fact once you get your drink its a Kripton factor assault course trying to get away. Enjoyer my pint for the trouble. must be better.

When you look at what will be on offer in 3-4 years then its happy times again IMO

City Sq is the testbed for things to come.

I for one would prefer a nice bistro with a steak sandwich and some lagers in summer and then a nice mince and dumplings and a pint of OP in winter ;-)

City Sq is because we ran into obsticles trying to get "City Street" passed.

Quickly thrown together as a contingency to make sure we got something on place for this season.

And of course they are trialling a few theories as well.

It seems to me that the only way is for the club to offer decent provision for all types and ages of fans.

Seems we will get that as well if the scale is increased.

If we do this 'properly' catering to home, away and family supporters as well as including amenaties that can be used away from match day.

I'll be very happy.
