The end of Dzeko

You just described Spurs, run down the wings and aim for the head of the big bloke in the box.

What use would wingers be to short players like Aguero, Tevez, Nasri and Silva.

Personally I'd rather keep the style that has shown us some of the best City performances we've ever seen at the start of the season. As far as I see it the only player who hasn't adapted to our current system is Dzeko, he's too clumsy to keep up with the quick, short passing of the rest of the team.
He'd be great at Spurs but I can't see us changing our whole system just to suit 1 player.
system?City has a system?
Why change a system that gives the result for the system in 10 games away from the 5 goals in which all the players out of form?
Does anyone know who the City system?
Does anyone, including Mancini knows best 11 4 match before the end?
I can help you there ;)

Richards---Kompany---Lescott---Clichy
-----------------Barry---Toure-------------
--------Silva---------------------Nasri-----
---------------Aguero----Tevez------------

that's the best 10 :P

Doh! How could I forget Pantilimon?

For me, a fit Tevez (and in form) is a better player than Aguero.

He is more complete. Tevez has better movement, and is a better passer as well. When Tevez is fit, we see him successfully dribble in ways Kun rarely does. Granted, they're different sort of strikers though.
I think they're very similar; small, strong, hammer of a right foot.

Tevez's vision (when he uses it) is far superior to Aguero, his ability to harass and challenge for ariel/second ball's is also much better. They can both be quite wasteful, but i'd probably say Tevez utilises his chance/goal ratio more than Aguero.

It's a shame because at one point i really wanted to finish the season without Tevez, now i think if only we'd had him all season, we'd have had a good deal more points.
Tevez has good vision to pick passes out because he's actually an attacking mid that's been moulded into a false 9 striker.

They're similar in physique but I think they play really differently. Tevez can drop off and play in between the lines because not only can he carry the ball, he can pass as well. Tevez is more unpredictable as well...defenders can never be sure when he will dribble, pass, or shoot.

Kun is more of a "put me through" sort of striker which is different. Not saying Kun is not good at dropping off , but Tevez is just much better at that.

imo, the best part of Tevez in contrast with Aguero, is the way he manages to hold on to the ball despite his size..i'm always amazed when he bullies 6-foot burly defenders off the ball and gives back as good as he gets when fighting for it..
the shot/chance ratio for Aguero, i believe, was higher when he played for Atletico Madrid. and I think it's more down to him trying to conform to the 'take-the ball-into-the box-and-then-shoot' philosophy currently at City. How many times has he scored a goal from outside the box? From the top of my head, I can think of only two this season..once on his debut, and the other recently against West Brom..
Tevez, as we all know by now, mostly never listens to Mancini ;)

I'm not going to to ignorant and call him shit, donkey etc...because that's just clueless.

It just hasn't worked out for him, in this system.

If Mancini stays, he has to go
But if Mancini is sacked..I would like to see him stay and see what another manager can get out of him

Hang on, Dzeko was part of some of our best performances. He was unplayable away to Spurs, nearly scored a hat trick vs United away.

And that was all without these mythical wingers that everyone seems to be pining for on Bluemoon now.

It was but most of goals in those two most remarkable games of the season came from wings ;)

3 Dzeko's at WHL, Balotelli's 2nd and Aguero's at OT

So?

If we have to rely on Milner, Nasri or Richards for width we are proper fucked.

Well if you think there's suddenly going to be an influx of wingers in the summer, then you're dreaming too. That's not how Mancini sets up his teams.

This. Since Mancini came here, there has not been one indication he in fact is interested in a traditional winger, not in his tactics and not in the transfer markets.
If we this summer went out and tried to buy traditional wingers á la Valencia an Bale, you can be pretty sure Mancini has decided to change game plan.

We will 100% sign a winger in the summer

I won't be surprised, though you can't say 100% as you are not involved in the transfers and sometimes they don't always come off(see Sanchez). That doesn't mean Mancini will suddenly change the way he sets up his teams.
