The End of on Street Parking within walking distance of the Etihad

Is it restricted on the other side? They will be all the early stewards and staff parking there, staff have limited parking numbers in blue car park, City might find it difficult to recruit staff if there’s nowhere to park.
That'll be the rag councils idea, they did it at Maine Road, by restricting it's capacity.

parking bays on the other side......signs ready for restricted parking. Fucking joke.

The parking bays were full yesterday 3 hours before the game.

They'll be empty when they rip the covering sticker off.

Have you seen how many thousands walk back into town after the game and they always have. There are buses laid on into town or you can get the tram.
I gave up on the car years ago because it was harder park. I get walk and get the tram.

What if you live opposite to town and don't want to use the trams into Ashton and buses are useless?

The trams are as useless as the buses. This scheme is madness, they are making a home game like a fucking away game. As for away fans turning up in their cars they are fucked too. As ever our club seems to do nothing to support us

The council are full of pen pushing out of town loons and reds

For a night game, Walk to Victoria over 30 mins, then spend an hour on tram to Shaw, then get in car if been lucky to get parked, taxi if couldn't get parked,it'll be well past midnight before I'd get home, compared to before 11pm for where I currently park on Briscoe Lane. Public transport not a option for everyone especially midweek night games

I was similar when living near Rochdale. For a night match the car was the only option. No idea where I would park now.

There's plenty of places still to park near Oldham Road if you're happy to do a 20 minute walk
They will go quick once the restrictions are in place, most of the land south of Oldham Road is in the zone.

People will be parking nearer to Rochdale Rd.

The restrictions are already in place aren't they?

Got a lift yesterday but had no trouble finding a spot the previous couple of games

Similar for me, although when I do use the tram, I use Monsall or Central Park.

The late night trams via Oldham aren’t fun though. You get to play then nobhead lottery.

Due to the changes, thought id do my bit and started using the train into Ashburys (from the East) and then a 20 minute walk from the station.
However didnt take long before realising Northern Rail are completely unreliable and after the 3rd time of extensive delays or cancellations and a return journey for a night match leaving me stranded at Ashburys at shortly before midnight on my birthday they can fuckoff and I will never use them again.

Public Transport in the North West is unfit for purpose, yet the clowns in offices at Manchester Town Hall are trying to force us to use it by denying us a viable alternative. I would make said clowns attend a full season of matches at City and catch the public transport home. I wonder how many rain soaked walks from cancelled trains, buses or trams or being crammed into overcrowded carriages pressed up against some n'er do wells armpit it would take before they agree that its wank and needs appropriate investment before making commuters give up their cars.
