Agreed, there's a certain kind of person that think they can choose if, when, and how rules/laws apply to them, and think consequences are for other people.

And that's their prerogative; hopefully they know there are potential consequences to that decision and have the integrity to accept them if they are enforced, just like in this case.

Otherwise, they're no better than the dippers always bemoaning facing consequences they knew were possible before they decided to do whatever they did.
