The flags and display

yeah. Also I think NBC sports have done a good job with PL coverage, from what I have seen.

I thought the display looked great on my not HD tv. The crowd volume was good at the start and like others have said went up and down after about 30mins. I think it's to be expected and I feel like it went with the game, not just noise/songs for the sake of it.
Well done for everyone who went.

the flags themselves were basically wrapping paper cellotaped to a stick but it looked great and i bet it looked even better on tv. Well played City. They certainly got it right tonight with all the pre-match routine.
Took loads of flags home. Ive got my xmas wrapping paper now :)

Convinced the rag media control the audio output from the game, watched it in Oz no atmosphere at all and then you see some of the you tube clips, bastards every one of them

the show in the beginning was excellent but i wish i could say the same about our fans support. the atmosphere was poor for a semi finale.

cant you be little more creative and say something else other than "come on city" and blue moon... that is boring btw every time every time...

I always find it puzzling when the media wax lyrical over the fabled glory “European Nights” at Anfield etc, as though it’s some kind of mystical experience, that City could never match.
Okay, I’ll concede St Etienne, Olympiakos, and even Dortmund, but surely it was the last minute goals on the pitch that made them memorable?

Three great nights in forty years, or do you include beating Chelsea on penalties, and other stuffy victories that could have gone either way
What was the atmosphere like, after Dortmund had raced into an early 2-0 lead the other week?

Ditto United: They hardly played in Europe, when I was growing up in the 70s.

I’ll give them Barcelona 83, but even when they did the treble, they were either losing for most of the home leg against Juventus or hanging on desperately as Inter tried to sneak an away goal.
Since then, they’ve lost every tie to Bayern and Real, so once again, we’re looking at one game when they beat Barcelona.

Arsenal? I’m sure they’ve had some, but I can’t think of any.

Chelsea? Barcelona, when Terry scored a late winner, despite being offside? Coming from behind against Napoli?

Now, I’m pretty sure the atmosphere would have been electric when we beat Schalke in 1970, or even Gornik in the 2nd leg the following year?
I certainly recall the buzz when we raced into a 3-0 lead against Milan in 78.

I also thought the De Bruyne goal made the PSG game seem special.
Not better or worse than the other clubs. Just a brilliant memory.

When Dortmund were 3-1 up at Liverpool you could hear a pin drop. Instead of shutting up shop Dortmund went for it. Then Liverppol scored and it raised the crowd. Instead of shutting up shop again, Dortmund kept on going for it. Liverpool scored again. The Liverpool fans went mental. The rest is history. Likewise tonight, if City had scored the crowd and atmosphere would have been even better.

I've watched CL nights at Chelsea(Cundy you c***!), Arsenal, and United, and they've been s***'! Bit not once have you heard the likes of Cundy & co ever criticize their atmosphere.

Typical spin by Talk Shite tonight to put a negative on a positive night.
