on the plus side it will keep all you skin flints out of the ground before kick off and leave us lucky ones in peace.

do you all shop at Aldi and Lidl
Of course they do. It's bluemoan.
If I shopped at Aldi and Lidl it's unlikely I'd be paying £9 on pie, chips and a coke.
It was the first night of them serving the new menu so it's only fair to give them the benefit of the doubt but by the same token I'm sure those in charge will be after feedback otherwise there's no way to improve.

Overpriced shite

Some of these burgers cost more than an hour's wage for some people, so not really tight to consider them overpriced. Of course, people need to remember it's a choice and not an obligation to buy the food at these prices...

£2-10 for chips from tony's chippy (with free fork!). Lovely.
I can't afford the overpriced food inside but i somehow manage to go a couple of hours without eating at the game. Each to their own...

They are not as good as his other chippie in Ancoats, tried them last night, bland as anything...

I agree but thats the way it is.

I am fortunate to be not too worried about the price.
I can fully understand why people cannot aford the prices and choose to eat elsewhere.
I go with a mate and my 10 year old son and it suits me better to get in the stadium as soon as it opens. That is what City are trying to do , get you in there early.
I love the build up to the game , the razmattaz and I get my 3 pints and now some decent scran.
It suits me and plenty others.

Lets face it , drinking and eating in deepest Beswick is not for the faint hearted

First time I've been able to get onto BM since I got back from the game so here's my two penneth worth ... the quality of catering and catering organisation is utter dog shit.

OK I admit we got in the ground very early. We watched the team arrive from the 3rd tier walkway so within a couple of minutes we were at the food bar. Mrs Baldy ordered curry and chips. Chips absolutely stone cold. I ordered a meat and potato pie. I think it was a meat and potato pie! But at least it was hot. There was steady stream of people returning their curry and chips. They must have cooked those chips and placed them under the food warmer lamps at least 40 mins before the turnstiles opened.

I also asked for a Heineken at £4. I naively thought I'd get a pint, but no I got a bottle. The food bar next door was serving pints for the same price, so I asked for my money back on the bottle (untouched) and told them they were ripping off fans. I got my money back on the bottle and went next door for the pint. Mrs Baldy eventually got some hot chips and curry. Not a knife or folk any where to be had. Couldn't find an holistic pie anywhere!!

The staffing was bobbins but it's not the staffs fault, they obviously hadn't had the correct training although some of the operatives (a) didn't appear to understand English and (b) had zero customer service skills.

Some of the staff didn't have the necessary logon credentials to operate the tills, so they were continually had to call over the supervisor to allow a transaction.

Had to laugh when one of the supervisors shouted generally in the direction of the cooking area "chef, can we have some hot chips" ... chef my arse, been watching to many fookin cookin programmes!!

Jamie Fackin Oliver or no Jamie Fackin Oliver, they'll never get it right!

Not sure why you're struggling to grasp the point of this thread. The food has supposedly improved beyond recognition (or if you were to read what had been said beforehand, you would certainly be led to believe it the case) and on first showing it wasn't. It's been overpriced and the staff training has been non existent.
The club want to make things better for the fans and should be applauded - the fact that they're trying to improve the standard of food is fantastic but only if there is an improvement. Last nights showing wasn't perfect and I'll happily give them a chance to get it right, but as somebody who eats a lot at the ground due to it being the only chance I get after rushing to and from the games between work the least I'd expect is it to be hot.
