You obviously haven't been very often. The enclosed bowl does fuck all to stop the wind, when it blows it's fucking ridiculous in the stadium.
The North stand gets it worse due to the emergency tunnel, it aint bad in the south stand.

Glad it's called off to be honest. Players get the rest and we won't risk any injuries in a match with this weather and which Sunderland would probably use as an excuse to clog our players every chance they get.

It's not easy to predict if a game will be called off though is it clever knob. Everton (-7 degrees) was worse. Fulham (horrendous snow) was miles worse. To be fair Pidge, it wasn't called off due to conditions within the stadium. This came from the police. Probably not a good idea to let thousands in/out of the area in this weather.
That's what I don't really understand. They left it until the majority of those fans were probably out in the area. I don't live in Greater Manchester so don't know what the weather was like earlier this evening. Did it deteriorate much in the last couple of hours?
