We should encorage new fans. We were all new fans once.

This. And I am afraid "Glory Hunters" are only a sign of a club doing it right.

Absolutely they are ........

i've been going to City for forty one years , but the times they are-a-changin' , and we are bound to attract new support as we grow .....

it's impossible to grow and mature as a club into a global enviroment and stay the same as we are.

I'll be honest here...

I couldn't handle sitting with these glory hunting scum who will probably come and 'support' us, I just couldn't do it.

The whole reason I am a Blue is because things like this aren't in my blood. I really just couldn't handle sitting in a ground with all these plastic scum.

Got to agree with the sentiment, I feel exactly the same. Problem is theres no way I can stop supporting City, so I'm going to have to find a way to live with it.

I was born in Leeds, bred in Leeds, but half my family is from Manchester, half from Leeds.

I've never lived in Manchester, but I've had a season card since the last season at Maine Road. (7 of my 13 years on the planet).

I still do to this day, I travel across the M62 for each and every home game, every season without fail.

Do I count as a real fan?

Oii!

You know I don't have an accent! ;)

I just hope those that have spent £s and £s on season tickets, match day tickets and away days could be in some way differentiated to newbies by price. If not it follows that some loyal supporters will be priced out of match days and replaced by newer and wealthier supporters. Yeah I know, I'm an idealist.
That said I welcome new supporters.

my grandad and then my dad went to City. That like many other fans was the reason I started going,so cheers Dad.Because of the many lows,I will now appreciate the good times when they arrive a lot more than our new fans,so that is 1 advantage I and many other fans will have.Just wish I could share it with my Dad. He was 3 when we won the league in 1937 so I suppose he has been around when we won the league twice.

I only supported City because they were shite. I'm currently on the look out for a new shit team to support as I enjoy the kudos of supporting a rubbish team, it shows how loyal I am and proves I'm the total opposite of a rag.
