The Guardian destroys Ian Wright

SWP has a point (if he's making one). He's better than some of the players who are being paid more than him.

Agreed. He's hardworking on his day, as proved in the Egypt friendly the other night.
that should be the minimum requirement

I don't think he has a point at all. Don't get me wrong, I love the little fella and he's a bloody good player. However, he's not a great player and let's face it, he's probably not going to get any better than he is now. I think he should take a moment & ask himself if any other club in the country is going to offer him 70K a week.

Totally agree.

Taylor's a United fan. Am sure he wrote this as an excuse to have another pop, as he likes to do on a weekly basis.

You won't see him writing about a United player's contract negotiations. Wouldn't want to upset Alex now....

I didn't read the article in full but a quick skim and it smacks of some cynical Guardianista having a go at our Shauny.

So many things wrong with that. You couldn't give it a full two minutes concentration so read it for what 15 seconds??? 15 Seconds to see some words and then come on here to waste your time and ours to have a pop at the article that you couldn't even be arsed reading?!?? What is the fucking point?

You would have been better served spening an extra minute reading the very well arguged article in the first place as it is absolutely bang on the money whether you like it or not.

And I love SWP (see - look at my username), but the Guardian sums the situation up perfectly here.

Wish I could get my Dad to go on national radio and demand I get paid more money, how F***ing embarrasing

And not as good as some players who are being paid less (and not just at City). That is why when a player signs a contract they sign on what they are happy to take. SWP does not have any clause saying he is to be the highest paid player or even have parity with them.

Now he is just being gready whilst most fans are far far far worse off. So he can fuck off and find another club willing to pay £70k per week if he feels he is so hard done to. And to think we all call Cole "CASHLEY" for saying £55k wasn't enough. Well, I work in finance and inflation hasn't gone up that fast so what makes make SWP so bloody special? I can't think of anything. Why are people backing him and not calling him Shaun Writes-Cheques etc etc.

Oh I know, it is called blind loyalty with a massive does of hypocracy.

And anyone saying its Ian Wright, not SWP that is causing the fuss. Ian Wright obviously had SWP's backing to go on air and bring all this out in public.
