Because a royalist British black man wouldn't make those comments. In fact, I've spoken to a few royalists who don't like Meghan Markle, for reasons they can't articulate, but that's a world away from saying you hate someone on a cellular level. There's a specific demographic that seem to hate Meghan Markle. That's not to say all middle aged white men do. My stepdad, a middle aged white man, is nonplussed by the whole thing. As I was too.
But reading comments like that make people take sides. How the fuck can anyone read that and wrap it up in any justification? A bitter, aggressive, outed bully has stated he hates a woman on a cellular level in a national publication. And for what reason? For marrying into royalty? For convincing her husband to move to the US with her? I'd hate someone on a cellular level if they killed one of my family members, or bullied someone I cared for deeply to the point of suicide. Cellular hatred is a strong term. All those comments have done is vindicate everything Harry and Meghan have been trying to address.
Another way of looking at it, Harry could have made millions in the US doing anything at all. He'd have been snapped up in any capacity to make hundreds of millions. The fact they've both decided to do this show leads me to believe there is ill-feeling toward the Royal Family. And if there's ill-feeling then a lot must have happened behind the scenes for these feelings to mature.
It's called nous, what other justification can people have for hating Meghan Markle?
