The idiocy (and selfishness) of panic buying

Was going to pop into Costco for an ill relative to get her some water but couldn't even get into the car park. This was before the general public were allowed in.

Ended up in Lidl up the road, again car park almost full and one one pack of water per visit. Rice, pasta & bog rolls were not available not that we needed any.
Do these idiots seriously believe that the tap water is going to get turned off?

Panic buying bog roll only started as a result of there being a limited shortage in Australia after the main manufacturers factory burned down in the bush fires. This is the problem with the likes of FaceAche and Tw*tter, rumours spread quickly through the idiots and end up f*cking everyone over.

A packet of water? Water comes out of the fucking taps you mentalist - why do you need to stock up on a product that is delivered direct into every home in the country.
Yeah comes out of taps but no fucking use if you're terminally ill with Cancer and bedridden!!!

If you're bedridden, you will need someone to fetch the water in the first place, and they could just as easily fill a reusable bottle from the tap in all fairness.

There is no reason for panic buying bottled water. This is not a Third World country.

Nipped into the coop to get my dinner before and out of some weird curiosity thought id see what people have been buying, quite worrying to see the ibuprofen absolutely cleared out even though ive read its makes covid19 more dangerous.
