The Independent Group

At present it is all irrelevant, if a snap GE happened as a result of any more tory defection might dictate, under electoral commission rules unless they register as an actual party although this 11 could all stand as independants they would not be able to put up any candidates or campaign as an aligned group and so would not be able to put up any extra people.
Anyone can put themselves up as an independent anywhere and campaign as aligned to these 11.

Do coalition governments change mid term where all the MP's from the junior party go and join another party?
No, but the parties involved do drop large parts of their manifesto and stand in coalition with parties that weren't on their ticket at election time.

You are not the Labour party and you don't make up the electorate, anecdotal evidence from one voter doesn't make your argument valid at all.

Interestingly about Coffey, she hasn't bothered to meet or visit he CLP in four years and sends her assistant to her surgeries.

She has no interest in stockport apart from it getting her in parliament.

But you'll admit that it isn't the same, this isn't about parties going too left or too right it's about the whinging remain politicians plotting again, Soubry double fucked her constituents they voted to leave and voted a Tory MP in, she's just ignored everything and done what she wants:)

I might be more inclined to vote for my local MP, if he wasn't a Labour MP. He has responded to emails and concerns swiftly but I wouldn't really fancy a Corbyn government. Not that my 1 vote would swing it either way

But the argument I read on here is that you are voting for the individual not the Labour party ( hence there being no need for the TIG's to call by-elections ) - so he seems to be a proper MP, responds to you directly in a timely fashion. So do we vote for an individual or a party?

Scrub party politics and have all independents?
