The Labour Government

Most people that I've met through being an unpaid carer have to fight tooth and nail for every single bit of help we can get. I agree with you on the wfa but please don't bring us into it just yet, we'll be on the chopping block next without the same outcry.
not talking about genuine people boss...........blaggers.....loads of em.

I was an unpaid carer for 4 years for my Aunt who had severe dementia and I provided 24/7 care ...it made me ill. She died on a waiting list for a walk in shower. I got fuck all help and she was too old to claim PIP etc only attendance allowance. Carers allowance was shyte.

They need to stop attacking all poorer vulnerable people. Setting poor against poor.

Taking winter fuel payments off old people who are broke before stopping blaggers laughing at the system is a fucking piss take.

It's shocking what carers, both unpaid and in receipt of carers allowance, have to put up with.

That you managed to look after your Aunt for 4 years with that dreadful disease is a credit to you mate. We were relieved when my father was admitted to a care home, we just couldn’t handle it.

loads taking the piss with fuck all wrong with them....get tax, insurance the lot paid.

Nice cars too....not shitty little motors. I lived in high rise blocks for 20 years seen em all and spoke to them laughing their heads off.......fuck all wrong with them just blaggers. Mates as carers claiming carers allowances. All high on crack. I know loads at it.

It's an industry.
The missus' sister 55 never worked a day gets every benefit going. Her son is 25 following same path.

Duly outed as a champagne socialist. Clearly you never mix with poor people.

Seriously.
The facts suggest that nearly 1 in 4 pensioners are asset millionaires, should all of those get a free £200 for fuel? It makes sense that at the very least it should be means tested and in my opinion not paid as cash. Working families don't have the luxury of such assets and will have mortgage repayments etc plus fuel bills so where is their £200?

Obviously there are many pensioners who aren't asset millionaires but then the poorest pensioners will be on pension credit where they'll get the £200 anyway. Somebody on pension credit has to have less than £10k cash and anybody with more than that can surely afford to lose £200 a year?

The only problem is with the shear unknown amounts who are eligible for such benefits but aren't claiming them but I suspect there will have been a huge spike in claims in recent weeks. That money saved by Starmer will therefore probably not amount to much anyway.

deluded post.

Are you aware of the cut off point for pension credit? Savings or not?

Those who are eligible for pension credit are financially better off than those on a state pension only just over the threshold cut off point.

That isn't right, fair or moral.

To quantify this in the sense of £200 for WFA is silly because your criticism is over pension credit and not WFA.

Aside from WFA, I haven't seen a single party mention benefit reform in the context of pensioners so it isn't like there is/was a choice.
