The Tories had zero ideas and had the fewest sitting days of any post was Parliament - they were all going home on Thursday morning

Wasn’t it the coalition in 2010? I’m sure our Lucy’s right about the numbers though. Quick google. Nope the coalition introduced 1,750 new laws in 2010 (between election and end of year), of which about 40 weren’t statutory so required debating. Got 20 odd to go by my reckoning.
It's great they've got busy but hopefully, they've not been rushed through without thought and have holes in them like the PL rules. Is that right? They introduced 42 government bills in their first parliamentary session but that lasted til 2012. I’d be amazed if 40 of them came in 2010.
To be fair to Labour as well, it’s been 30 sitting days. That’s pretty impressive how much they’ve introduced already. Not saying I agree with all of them, but still!
I think that must include secondary legislation (statutory instruments). Lucy presumably meant primary legislation.Wasn’t it the coalition in 2010? I’m sure our Lucy’s right about the numbers though. Thanks. Maybe you're not who you think you are!It came up on my alerts that you had quoted my post, so I don’t know what happened there.
I’m happy to apologise, and I have been quite busy today, so probably was a bit distracted. But like I said I did have an alert that you had replied to me, and when I responded to the alert it took me your post.
The first sign of sense breaking out.Quite pleased that Reeves is going to move the fiscal rules for investment. Certainly something I wanted to see happen.

She said coalition government in the speech. There's not much advantage in not blaming the LibDems for facilitating austerity.
But the Tories had actually promised less legislation. (More time for their day jobs)
