Being built across 3 yards IIRC didn’t help. Largely blamed for a lot of the problems they’ve had.

I'm still paying tax in abundance, not sure Councils spend half their budget on care homes now either. Just why would kids be forced into poverty when we pay more tax than ever can you explain where this monies going ?

Was it not 6 different yards, sadly don't think we have a yard capable of building a ship of that size from keel up anymore just shows how far we've gone backwards under Governments of all shades.

According to that, Bulwark hasn't been useable for 4 years.

It actually says Bulwark has been undergoing a refit , and is currently uncrewed and in reserve. So yes unusable at present but clearly implying that it could be returned to service if needed.

Yeah, but only two lines instead of three. I thought it sounded high. More like a third on adult social care.

Looks an awful lot like not useable for 4 years, which is what I wrote.

Whether Cartlidge has been interpreted rightly, I don't know - this seems drawn from this single line answer in Parliament:
"I can confirm HMS BULWARK will be regenerated from extended readiness and maintained so that she can be ready to deliver defence outputs if required."

Due back in 2023, then sometime in 2024. Cartlidge's comment seems to be an avoidance of actually saying that it's done because that would look like it had been left to rot without plans to replace it.
