Your response conspicuously avoids answering the question-presumably because the answer is ‘yes’.Fits his "supply teacher" image perfectly - low expectations from the off.

Guess you would have been delighted with all the public service strikes continuing thenPresumably they’ve caved in to a few more unions, so they need to push through some more tax hikes, hence the fabricated fiscal black hole needs to be bigger.
His speech will also be a nice little distraction from the attention his cronyism is starting to attract.
Well, we knew the last year before the election the Tories (deliberately or not) were in Scorched Earth mode, not least with unfunded tax cuts. Still, you'd hope that there might be some "sunlit uplands" to encourage people. There are still some on the Brexit thread who think that went well.

I don’t think anyone would but complete capitulation to the unions wasn't the answer.Guess you would have been delighted with all the public service strikes continuing then

Tax increases were inevitable whoever won the GE. This was blindingly obvious.Paving the way for tax increases with statements like that
Not sure even the Tories would have stopped pensioners' cold weather payments tbhTax increases were inevitable whoever won the GE. This was blindingly obvious.
Blindingly obvious to everyone except selfish pricks who were happy to see our public services and sectors neglected of investment if it meant they could shovel away more of their "hard-earned".Tax increases were inevitable whoever won the GE. This was blindingly obvious.
No point engaging with you on this topic if you’re only going to respond with non-sequiturs.Not sure even the Tories would have stopped pensioners' cold weather payments tbh

Even if public spending doesn’t increase they need to go up. Demographics and Covid dictate it as such.Blindingly obvious to everyone except selfish pricks who were happy to see our public services and sectors neglected of investment if it meant they could shovel away more of their "hard-earned".
My agreement with your proposition is admittedly enthymematic but what follows is an expression of surprise that Labour's effort at increasing the tax burden starts by cutting cold weather payments to old people. Do you follow that?No point engaging with you on this topic if you’re only going to respond with non-sequiturs.
He’s fucking right though, isn’t he?
