This isn't just a criticism of the Labour party (the Tories didn't do it either) but why has our government failed to deport the convicted criminals in Rochdale who were told YEARS ago they were to be deported??
Maybe living in Rochdale is the punishment? This isn't just a criticism of the Labour party (the Tories didn't do it either) but why has our government failed to deport the convicted criminals in Rochdale who were told YEARS ago they were to be deported??

Badenoch says no one has been held accountable. It's probably true that police, social workers, and other council officers or elected members were concerned not to be seen to offend ethnic communities - though there's little evidence that communities would be offended by the prosecution of criminals. Or they simply disbelieved the victims, the main reason paedophiles - individually or as a gang - get away with it (and race has nothing to do with that). But no inquiry is going to hold individuals accountable - see the acquittal of anyone charged over Hillsborough. I suspect the Post Office inquiry will not lead to convictions, even of people whose duplicity sent others to prison.THere has been several enquiries and their is no 'cover up'
If the AfD get in in Germany, and seek to deport immigrants, there are 6,000 Syrian doctors there who might be looking for new jobs...Streeting is, sadly, way, way out of his depth and, in reality, he’s just kicking the can down the road, once again. There is absolutely no reason to hold yet another enquiry as Dilnot did the Social Care piece and published it in 2021. The answer in 2028 (should it be on time) will be no different to Dilnot’s and they should just grasp the nettle and get on with it.
Much of the ills of the NHS, save for investment in modern technology, a massive reduction in the bedbase, and fewer doctors than almost any other western country, is always traceable to ‘flow’ issues. (In the wider economy, Government calls them supply chain issues when it’s something they don’t want to be blamed for). Hospitals can’t empty people out, because they’ve nowhere to go, so A&E gets full. Patient get treated in A&E rather than on a ward due to,
Ack of beds, other people get kept waiting in ambulances, because A&E is full, other people are kept waiting at home because the ambulances are full and people are leaving in their droves because this wasn’t what they were signed up for. (I know paramedics who are spending their entire shift in an ambulance outside A&E) not actually doing what they’ve been trained for. Australia and Canada are waiting for the, with open arms, a proper shift pattern and hefty pay increases……
She won’t be in it for long, so I wouldn’t worry too much.Robot Reeves looks like she needs a full recharge at PMQs. Very gaunt.
Wonder if the job is taking it's toll on her?
Labour have been in power >6 months and the Tories the 14 years before that. Some perspective on who should have done what perhaps? This isn't just a criticism of the Labour party (the Tories didn't do it either) but why has our government failed to deport the convicted criminals in Rochdale who were told YEARS ago they were to be deported??

Naughty Pakistan. Obviously taking their cue from our refusal to have Shemima Begum.A series of legal challenges and Pakistan refusing to accept them.
Actually far from it. She was all over the place. How did Badenoch get on with Starmer today, chewed him up and spat him out?
For YEARS?? It just needs the political will to get it done and much as I don't like Mr Musk maybe his involvement might help focus minds.A series of legal challenges and Pakistan refusing to accept them.
Who mentioned millions of people? I'm talking about the individuals in Rochdale and it IS possible. You're entitled to your opinion but like I said above it just needs the political will to make it happen and I won't be convinced otherwise.Labour have been in power >6 months and the Tories the 14 years before that. And the real answer is because that unlike the hard right's fever dream on "kick em all out", removing citizenship or deporting people is an incredibly difficult legal process
Just removing a million people is a legal and logistical impossibility. Moving a million British citizens around the world is what the Army does with no legal challenge and they'd be fucked trying to do it. It's not possible
Interestingly the Times reporter who exposed the latest cases has doen an interview on the podcast " The News Agents". During that interview he is adamant that Starmer was instrumental in changing the rules to allow proper investigations and charges to be brought. So far from being a blocker. the opposite seems to be the case. The reporter is not a known Starmer fan but at least has been accurate on the matter.Starmer the harmer is an absolute clown. He'll be out at the next election
Maybe withdraw the £133million overseas aid to Pakistan might make them rethink, I mean once they are there if they meet an unfortunate accident who cares.A series of legal challenges and Pakistan refusing to accept them.
Years in cases like this really isn't a long time. The problem with stuff like this is people think it's done with a click of the finger and that's a problem most incumbent governments are facing. For YEARS?? It just needs the political will to get it done and much as I don't like Mr Musk maybe his involvement might help focus minds.
