Not a fan of Keith or of the party currently. But we'll be begging for them back in when Führage takes over.

The housing market looks under strain, if prices do start to fall in a meaningful way then she won't get anywhere near her target. I have to say though that I have seen a lot of planning applications for new developments, whether they happen is another thing.
Whatever floats your boatKeith Stalin.
Purger of the left within the party and now starting on his own neo libs within who happen to think Israel are being a bit naughty.
Maybe. Or maybe the Sun just isnt supporting anyone they think won't win? Egg before chicken or chicken before egg?Ur not winning a UK election withouit the support of The sun
You might be. I don't think the rest of the country will. Not a fan of Keith or of the party currently. But we'll be begging for them back in when Führage takes over.
Wanted to reply to this and offer a few thoughts - I suspect we see things differently and we’re not going to agree, which is probably a good thing, but I do still see the scheme as both discriminatory and indeed patronising, so I don’t agree with it.
I suppose a lot will rest on how many of the 200 interns will ultimately be successful in their applications, but I would be surprised if the success rate wasn’t a high number given that the whole intention is to change the type of people entering the civil service. If we end up with 10-15% of successful applicants coming from one chosen demographic, and the remainder assessed purely on merit, then I can’t see how that’s a positive.
Ultimately you are introducing a factor other than merit into the selection process. Some people will see that as a necessary move, but personally I find the whole thing to be rather patronising and I wouldn’t have entertained applying for the scheme when I was younger.
I do not come from a privileged background, very far from it actually, but by the time I was finishing up my studies I knew I didn’t need any help competing with rich sorts. I quite enjoyed getting one over them, but when I got my first job the best mate I made there (and still good friend) had been to Eton and so had one of my bosses, and I never had a problem.
Actually it was very funny observing them and although I may have had to work a bit harder to get on, I don’t think I was treated that differently. It would have helped that I was in a much more meritocratic environment than the civil service, but if people had started making it easier for me because of my background I’d have walked out.
Seriously, do think Reform would improve the state of the country? You might be. I don't think the rest of the country will.
Hugely. They are very flawed. But everything's relative.Seriously, do think Reform would improve the state of the country?
I don’t see them ever getting in at the moment as all they are doing is gaslighting without any clear policy other than to fuck the NHS upHugely. They are very flawed. But everything's relative.
Who knows, 4 years is a long way off. If Labour manage to get immigration under control - illegal and legal - then perhaps you're right, but to do that, they'd have to try and there's no sign of that so far.I don’t see them ever getting in at the moment as all they are doing is gaslighting without any clear policy other than to fuck the NHS up

Without wishing to trivialise racism, I don't think young people are becoming racist. The ribbing my mates and I did as adolescents, i.e jokes and "race banter" if you will doesn't really qualify as pure racism, at least in my view. We had a couple of Asian lads in our friend group and they were self-deprecating and took any light-hearted ribbing for what it was. What we see online is different, it's visceral and hateful.
Although, in this country there is a generational divide when it comes to tolerance and attitudes, at least in my opinion.
I think you’re right. They absolutely need immigration under control and on top of that they desperately need economic growth. At the moment I can’t see them achieving either.Who knows, 4 years is a long way off. Also depends on how many candidate Jez ends up fielding. If it's a full blown party with 650 candidates, Labour are absolutely screwed IMO.
I don’t see reform or any party stopping the boatsI think you’re right. They absolutely need immigration under control and on top of that they desperately need economic growth. At the moment I can’t see them achieving either.
It's quite easy to stop them. You just have to break international law. Something Australia was prepared to do and sod the consequences, and after initial international outrage, no-one cares and their problem is 100% solved. So far no-one in the UK has had either the motivation or the balls. I suspect Farage might. Stop them landing and if they do land, deport all of them and bar them for ever applying legally ever again. As Oz has done. Then they stop trying. Fixed.I don’t see reform or any party stopping the boats
How do you propose you stop them landing exactly and “if they do land” then you haven’t stopped themIt's quite easy to stop them. You just have to break international law. Think a lot depends on how many defect to the no name party. Get rid of the lefties will allow the implementation of welfare reforms with more sensible eligibility and potentially action on the illegals will do it. Reform may be fun but not as a government, Tories need 2 parliaments to recover. Libs best on the log flume and Greens have a lot of work to do.Who knows, 4 years is a long way off. It sounds like you were talking to an inherently racist person. He could get to ninety and, chances are, he'll still be racist. But I honestly believe, when it comes to the younger demographic, they are an exception to an otherwise tolerant worldview. Hopefully this generation carries this attitude into the future to leave the likes of Britain First and Tommy Robinson ranting and raving in a dark corner.Having a bit of banter is what mates do but honestly mate I was talking with a young twenty something and he was making racist remarks like we were talking about the weather. Obviously that’s one example and you don’t want to tar folk with the same brush and maybe I’m over thinking it but if they are brazen enough to say this stuff out loud to someone they don’t really know you might be forgiven for thinking it’s more normalised to say this shit than 30-40 years ago.
British society has taken a step backwards when it comes to tolerance.
