The Labour Government

Anything that makes the country work because we seem to be getting more and more broken, and its the politicians (That plenty in here support) that are actually fucking the nation up.

How anyone can support a conservative govn that tanks the economy, or a Labour govn that are slowly taking our rights away is beyond me. They repeatedly fail us, and all anyone can say on here is your lot are worse than our lot, thats all that remains now.
100% this. It's what I have been saying for ages.... apparently that makes me a Farage fanboy to the kids in here. I have said for ages now, neither Labour nor Conservatives are fit to run a bath, never mind a Country.

Think the most damming bit is his failure to catch anything. Let's be honest stupid mistake but does it really matter?
David Lammy refers himself to watchdog after fishing with US vice president | Politics News | Sky News https://share.google/bmpnx15wOVzPjnxDA
Really? Like has been said, why did he need to involve referring himself to the standards commission? Should just pay any penalty like every other citizen would have to do?

Nope.
What makes you a Farage fanboy is the fact you’ve repeatedly said you’re voting Reform.
Quite simple really.

The reason I (and a large portion of the country) am voting for Reform is down to the fact that neither Labour, nor Conservatives have done a very good job and are totally pissed off with them.

That does not make one a Farage fanboy... but you guys keep on kidding yourselves and believing if it makes you feel better. The proof of the pudding.... you know the rest.

Agree totally. The party fanboys weird me out. I think in my life I’ve voted CON, LAB, LIB DEM, GREEN and Robbie the rhino. There’s no monopoly on good ideas

We desperately need to reform our voting system, making it more likely we might vote for something/someone instead of against.
It’s nigh on impossible to get rid of an MP under this system and we have majority governments that the vast majority didn’t actually want.
Before the last election, over 100 seats hadn’t changed hands for over 100 years and 247 hadn’t changed hands in over 50 years.

These figures are somewhat false as well, given many seats that changed hands in 2019 were something of an anomaly with Brexit and Corbin creating a perfect storm.

Trouble is, because their snouts are firmly in the trough, the current government appear to have forgotten how much they supported this when it looked like Boris might be in for 10 years+.
The only way I could see this being forced and this will never happen but if the GE turnout was less than 25%. Or introduction of a counted “none of the above” option as opposed to it going down as a spoiled ballot

You planning on voting for reform does that, nothing else.

There are other options. I’d strongly suggest checking how reform councillors are doing given you’re now able to see evidence of how well they’d do at governing a country too.

Unless they get their act together the next GE is going to throw up one hell of a bizarre result. The good thing is they have a bit of time, but it doesn’t look like they are capable of making the most of it. They almost have as many agendas as they have MPs.

So why are so many people planning to do this [vote for Reform]? Can they all be wrong? Or could it be that people are so pissed off (yes that pissed off) with the hypocrisy and lies that we have been subjected to for the last fifteen years plus that Reform look like a better option.

The main Parties and their supporters really do need to ask themselves that question and realise the majority od the support for Reform eminated from their own incompetence and inaequacies.

I know abuse will come my way (bring it on if it gives you satisfaction) but sadly that is the way it is and the mainstream Parties need to get their arses in gear though I believe even at this early stage it is probably too late for them to rescue their position before the next election.

The outrage with current politics I get but why do you think Reform look like a better option beyond not being the other two?

It's entirely possible for them to be even worse. In fact I say the available data suggests it's probable they will be worse for the country. Theyre good at tapping into the justified anger that people feel and shit at everything else.

I'm not accusing anyone of being a fanboy of anyone, I just don't see where the confidence comes from that they are going to be anything other than a poundland maga car crash.

This 100%

In all sincerity I do not believe they will be much good in government ut I know the Conservatives will blatantly abuse their position and look after their own and Labour will do exactly the same but more underhandedly. Out of the two the pain for the public will be the same..... both without any hesitation.

These Party's are all short termism, no vision beyond five years and that is very much the problem of our FPTP electoral system.

You can check back and you will see I have constantly reached out trying to find someone to vote for. I am not daft enough to think Reform will give us good government but I do not believe they could be much worse than that which we have had to endure over the last two or three decades. The only question in my mind is, is it worth the risk? And right now I am minded to think so.

For me Starmer is absolutely spineless and looks more and more like a rabbit in headlines everytime he appears om the screen... and the Tories... just as bad.

We are in a shit state. My big hope is that we will get PR and soon,

The only spineless person is you.
If you want PR vote Lib Dem but you prefer Reform and you haven’t got the balls to admit they’re your preferred party. You even admit they’re going to be useless in government yet you’ll vote for them anyway. There can only be one reason why you will vote for a racist xenophobic party with no coherent policies that you believe will be useless, and it’s because you share their outlook. Just admit it instead of pretending. Grow a pair.

You could always vote for the Greens or Corbyn/Sultana's party.

funny thing is a lot of YouTubers and other platforms are now promoting/moving to Habibs mob - Advance? Hard to keep up - I assume they are paid influencers of just influencers who have seen through the Farage end less grift? Although I have also noted that they seem disillusioned by the Farage drift towards the less Far Right as he knows he can't win with extremism but a number Farage's fanboys think they can win with their views whereas Farage is realising the road to any success involves moving slightly to the left and broaden his base. This is why Reform have hit a plateau
