I assume you define ‘damage’ as people coming here to live and work. Well, I guess we can’t have people turning up here and working. Perish the thought.
On the other hand, people turning up to live and work here is our current plan. And the last Govt’s. And the one before that and…well, you get the idea.
Not as ‘factual’? It’s either factual or it isn’t, or at least the maths is factual, I guess you could extrapolate different ‘conclusions’ from the maths or paint a picture that chronological age is no longer a reliable guide to physical age ie todays 70 is yesterdays 65 - basically, 50 is the new 40. There is some merit in this, but you are still fighting biology and it’s a fight we will all ultimately lose.
Medical and tech advances can’t be ruled out of course - hence my optimistic outlook about human ingenuity and necessity being the mother of invention - so I’ll stick with that as my ‘projection’ for the future. I also prefer it to humanity being culled and the demise of the planet. What can I say? I’m a hopeless humanist at heart.
