So part privatisation of the NHS? I agree to a point that the model is broken.
Defence: If we can't see the threat now, we never will. I would however like to see more of the proposed spending within the UK.
Nett Zero: At present the vast majority of the proposed spending on this come from private sources.
Foreign aid has been substantially reduced and is now used towards the migrant issue. But it's important that we still help countries if it helps alleviate the migrant issue at source.
Welfare: whenever the government have tried to make changes and savings, different groups oppose and as happenend recently rejected the proposed overhaul.

I've previously suggested changes to the state pension that would affect me adversely. How many on here are genuinely prepared to put their money where their mouth is and be adversely affected?

I am not yet at state pension age but I have also suggested changes to the pension to my own detriment. For me personally, I am not looking to any political party to make me personally any better off, I accept that given the state of the nation's finances that is not going to happen. My view is that we must all take a hit.

I agree with most of that but means testing the state pension will only lead to people saving the bare minimum into a pension so they get it, then probably squirreling money at home so it can’t be means tested. I’d get rid of the triple lock but it rises with inflation so you at least keep up with prices. The NHS is not fit for purpose anymore it’s trying to incorporate too much, far too much is taken for granted, you shouldn’t be entitled to an ambulance because you ask for one, for a stubbed toe, if you miss your appointment you go to the bottom of the list, if you had to pay for it from your own pocket I’m damn week sure you wouldnt miss it.
I’ve a 13 year old daughter and I’ve already talked about her not going to university unless it’s to be a doctor or something like that (no chance in my option though), get some sort of trade as AI is going to replace a hell of a lot of jobs and many degrees will be redundant with huge debt with it.
Defence is a no brainer unfortunately and the more Trump goes on I’d not only be looking eastwards I’d be looking over my shoulder as well.

from what I have seen these last few days the idle are stood outside hotels doing Nazi salutes - suggest a days work or benefits sanctions to them and they would be hiding in their lofts. The workshy the Right refer to are the followers they need. Nobody I have seen on these demo's, has a limp, is an amputee and given their shouting their breathing is just fine - get them fuckers doing 40hrs a week on minimum wage

exactly - the worst that could happen is an increase in supply in a demand saturated market - that usually leads to a fall in sale prices too so a mard arsed "patriot" leaving because of tax gets an extra slap on the bum on the way out
