Now i replied with based on? Which gave everyone the opportunity to agree on the stupidity of the post or back it up.
No one did and then leading post/posts were made hoping chippy would say Reform or Tory so we could go through the same things about that rabble for the thousanth time. This is not debate its repetition at this point.
Anyhow the truth imho is this labour arent as bad yet as the previous Tory govt but they have time to become so, let's hope not.
As for anything else on offer that would be a bollocks statement unless @ballbag can transcend parallel universes and see how the others did.

Ah great question!! Now we’re getting into political doublespeak. Was it more effective is a broad question that has many answers depending on what we are assessing. Did it remove more people? No. Was it more cost effective? No. So on those metrics it wasn’t more effective. Did it prevent more boat journeys? Hard to measure as it’s difficult to prove the null. Was it more effective for Rwanda? Absolutely!

Exhibit A for why people are fucked off with politics because it’s all smoke and mirrors with broad stroke statements that struggle to be disproven - unless it’s a flat out lie like never having had a party.

Rwanda was stupid mind and for anything that matters to the UK, ineffective

Badenoch is there to be morally bankrupt and cause as many problems for the government as possible (ie her telling all conservative councils to attempt to close down Asylum hotels via the courts that her government put in, just to try and engineer a crisis for Labour).

18 months before the GE she will be replaced by a new Cameron figure who can then claim to be reclaiming the party for one nation Tories and small c conservatives.


She’ll never stand in a general election as Conservative leader.

I didn't take it that way (much). Merely the usual insults that I get so responded to appropriately.

I do draw the line at being called a nonce, which has occurred on a couple of occassions. Pretty sad really just when someone disagrees with you that they have to resort to that.

To say that Farage is "sub-optimal" would be an understatement. However, for anyone who thinks that you cannot tax your way to a more prosperous country, he is the only option. The Tories cannot win and another term of Labour would see us go the way of Greece, if they haven't managed it by the end of this one.

The only reason Reform will never raise taxes is because they'll never get in power to do so.

You don't even pay attention to the party you slobber over all day on here, Farage just completely dropped his commitment to cut taxes.

You’re assuming that a Reform government would push the tax burden ever higher, simply because they’ve abandoned a pledge to reduce taxes by £90bn?

I'm assuming Reform would do exactly what anyone else in power is going to have to do based on the fact Farage has literally said they won't be able to afford to do what they want.

Why the constant animosity? Not to mention being downright wrong all the time.

For a start, I have never “slobbered over” Farage. In fact my very last post said he’s sub optimal.

And I’m fully aware of his position on taxes. Why on earth you would think I am not, is beyond me. Presumably just another go at trying to mock and belittle. It’s SO tiresome.

But VERY unlike the bunch of clowns you support, Farage does at least does realise that raising them is actually bad for the economy and not just bad for votes. He has a hope of getting us out of the doom spiral of increasing taxes and falling tax receipts, which Labour will not.

And if you think he won’t be the next PM, you’re in for a hell of a big disappointment. In 2029 I mean. Admittedly some other Labour stooge will be in place well before the next GE.

I will never agree with your politics and that's okay and if you vote for the Tories again I'd disagree but fair enough. What I do find unnacceptable (to me) is anyone voting for a far right racist party like reform and finding excuses like I prefer their tax policy or I don't like the present government. They aren't prices worth paying for a party and leader as dispicable as Reform and Farage.
Luckily I very much doubt they will win enough seats to win power because enough of the 70% that are against reform are enough against them to tactical vote them out of enough seats that they will never win a majority.
