Yet if you look at his first year in office, there are plenty of lies (including to the Queen), and plenty of sex scandals including multiple ones involving him, and he was caught lying about Jennifer Arcuri - and he still won an 80 seat majority and took a 20+ point lead in the polls.

Absolutely no-one would argue that Starmer has single headedly turned things around, but to suggest it's nothing to do with him is just as ridiculous. The Tories thought they were bullet proof.
