The Labour Party

No permission from the real people in power to implement real change is the truth and I’d wager at least 2 parliaments worth of the excuse “Tory austerity” to blame before enough cotton on and we get the next 10-15 years of Tory rule…
Sadly correct. Despite the party of low taxation sadling us with the greatest levels of taxation since ww2, public finances are fucked and there is no sign that we are on the edge of an economic boom as in 1997. The next govt will be a labour branded version of Cameron/Osbourne austerity.

Well at least get rid of the people who've left no money despite the highest tax take ever.
Well if it makes everyone feel better by all means.
However there are a lot of people out there expecting a lot more.
It takes about 10 minutes to list everything that is wrong with the Country but a hell of a lot longer to put it right, whatever right means to a population of over 65 million with as many different opinions.

How many things wrong now weren't a problem before 2010?

If it's not Whatsaboutery or Allthesamery it's now Hopelesstaskery to justify still voting Tory.

I am afraid that is a fact.
Inflation is very difficult to cure at a time of near full employment and there are so many ex workers since the pandemic who have no intention of re joining the employment market and a whole lot more from their mid 50’s counting the days to retirement.
So yes we are well and truly in the quagmire with no spare money to fix things.

Nothing to do with polls.

And you've got it totally wrong. We're looking for our voters so we can chase them up on election day. Tell us you're Tory if you don't want to be mithered again, especially now as anyone saying they'll vote Tory is beyond help.

Most people don't want to move canvassers on. The problem is often getting away and onto the next house.
I am afraid it doesn’t quite work like that in real life.
The voters only ever see faces of political parties around election time.
The leaflets they post are often moaning about the other Party and a bit of waffle such as a fairer Society etc that no one is going to argue with but no firm ideas how to get there.
It’s far easier to just say yes, smile and close the door and get on with life.

So who will you vote for?

What? Get on with moaning on Bluemoon rather than talk to people who might actually be able to make some small difference (even if only locally)?

Probably labour like most of us and Starmer knows it. It's enough to get the present shower out, but I don't expect much policy change and if the country then has a tough 5 years it will open the door for the Tories to rebrand and return.

We no longer live in 2010 the world has changed.
People should vote for who ever they like.
If it’s seen as a victory feel good factor getting rid of the Tories fine, just don’t expect massive changes
You only have to look at the Starmer and Labour Party threads on here to see there is going to be lots of in fighting as to how far they should go.
Different Government perhaps, but the same old problems and little difference for the vast majority of us

But can’t you see nobody wants small differences. Imagine a politician using that line in a run up to an election, is that all that’s being offered
