The Labour Party

The truth of the Brexit issue in the eyes of Corbyn and his gang is simple. If we remain part of it a Corbyn government would be unable to implement the kind of ultra left wing state that they aspire too, Leave and they will have free reign, the same of course can be said for Boris and his cohorts.

Even as a leaver I have no doubt that leaving under either of the main parties could have dire consequences. Then I also believe that to remain would be even more horrific but perhaps would take a little longer to become apparent to many.

Tricky one, and whichever way it pans out there are some very dark days indeed awaiting us all.

The ONS have said death rates have risen by 5.4%
Due to what? The annual death rate (500,000+ give or take) has been steadily increasing anyway as the population gets older.

Is it likely austerity has increased the rate somewhat? I'd be surprised if it had not. But 130,000 additional deaths out of the 5m total over the past 9 years? Seems high to me but maybe.

5.4% above what was expected as the natural death rate as people get old. It has meant average life expectancy has fallen below much of the West. As the 5/6th largest economy in the world, that is pretty unacceptable, but I accept there may be other reasons, what is certain in mind is that austerity has not helped matters.

Socialism is not ultra left. Corbyn is a fairly benign Socialist, probably more a Scandinavian style Social Democrat, on the right its the Libertarians like Hannon, who is far to the right of Johnson that worry me because of our ideological differences.

More importantly he isn't head of a Party recently found in contempt of Parliament, he isn't advised by a chief of staff that has been found in contempt of Parliament, he hasn't been proven by a court to have given HMQ false advice, he hasn't shut down debate ( illegally according to the previous point ) the rap sheet goes on - and these are all in the last 10 months ffs

Prorogue parliament to avoid another kicking in PMQ's.

Boris is a bully and a coward.

But Johnson gets away with it, he commits so many offences, gaffs, blunders and bloopers that it all rolls in to one.

Normal rules no longer apply, it's hard to imagine what he could do that would topple him.

If he showed up on parliament wearing his hunting suit, whilst carrying a shot gun and spent 5 minutes shooting the Labour Party front bench it would be spun as a victory for democracy.

If Boris is so terrible and hated then why doesn't the opposition vote for an election?

They'd win easily surely...?

It helps having rich pals feeding the masses your masses their bullshit through their media outlets.

It's one thing that i have to admit I don't fully understand as I've not had to pay attention up until now;
Why is the opposition to government so poor in Britain?
There are so many splits and no clear opposing ideology in what has become a one issue GE race.

But where is the evidence of that?

The opinion polls are horrendous on most things on Boris such as trust and more specifically his recent actions.

Despite that though the Tories are still streets ahead in the polls.

I think Labour really fear an election and they fear it because it could kill the whole Corbyn thing. Even the Lib Dems are polling higher than Labour.
