Agreed.

And that's what's pisses me off about being on the left. 80% of stuff we all agree on. We then split over the 20% rather than agree to disagree. That's my own experience from attending meetings of Labour and various other left leaning political groups.

That's so true, it was ever thus.

I've major issues with some of Labour's policies and though I blow hot and cold on the party, unlike my wife, I can't give up my membership.

In the end, despite everything, the Labour Party at its best, stands for hope for a better future.

The Tories and Lib Dems? More of the same shit now and forever.

Corbyn criticises Blair, marched against him and voted against the Labour Government countless times.

I’m not saying he shouldn’t have and he did do so more seriously and professionally than Phillips but Labour shouldn’t be an echo chamber.

From my perspective and I’ve distanced myself from siding with those further to the left and those further towards the centre, I don’t feel strongly attached to the party enough to do so, it just seems six of one, half a dozen of the other.

Momentum can be pretty harsh to “Blairites” and behave pretty appallingly and then those closer to the centre can be very petulant, often do things that don’t help the party and then undermine agreed policy - like Watson did recently.

The anti Israel thing has gone way too far as well, whilst I completely sympathise with the cause.

I just wish everyone would calm the fuck down, get their heads together, make a compromise and get in with trying to beat the Tories.

Corbyn leads the Labour Party not because of who he is, but because of what he stands for, and he was elected overwhelmingly by the party because, on the whole, he stands for what they stand for.

That's why people screaming for a "moderate" leader are looking in the wrong place.

Add to that the bbc didn't handle the 24hr news roll out well and went from 3 news programes a day to trying to fill the airtime amd compete with sky ratings wise, what hey found was adissafected tory blowhard with a hard on for getting out of europe and suddenly this man everyone laughed at was getting multiple interviews to fill time and a subject no one cared about became a national obsession.

I see Johnson is pinning his hopes on Viktor Orbán.

This is horrible, there's no other word for it.

Orbán isn't going to spend political capital to veto the extension out of the goodness of his heart.

What is Johnson promising him to get him to veto? Hungary doesn't give a fuck either way, so what are we bribing him with? Because if Orbán were to do want Johnson wants, against the wishes of the other twenty-six EU members, particularly Germany and France, he'll pay a price, so what sweeteners are we offering to dull the pain?

I'm sure Johnson will let us all now.
