Less of the dramatics but ask yourself this who is predicting this Armagedon when respected economist like Ann Pettifor are saying the opposite going so far as to say this is just what the country needs?
What do you think pension managers do put all there funds in one company or spread them around in different companies so that they have balanced portfolio?
Corporation tax levels even at 26% is lower than France, Germany and Spain ?

I think that you will also find gaps in people not wanting to vote. Some died in the wool voters from both sides are horrified by both leaders and not willing to vote Lib Dem's or Brexit either and that is precisely why I see this as being a hung parliament. Brexit party shot itself in the foot doing a deal with Johnson and Swinson is very self confident but no charisma what so ever (and both are losing votes).
You can put me in that bracket. I won't be bothering to vote as it stands.
You might disagree but I find Labour far too excessive and much of their leadership questionable. I also cannot stand what this Tory party has become. I don't believe we should overturn Brexit and that leaves me with nothing.
The one person who I think has called it right is Farage on the prospect of a low turnout.
To be honest a low turnout would be a great protest but chances are they couldn't give a toss.

As the IFS says the impact on the UK will be not just on the top 5% of earners. Do you think business will sit back and pay 7% more corperation tax? Tax reduction will be top of every companies action list. Jobs will be lost and investment decisions (put off till we know what sort of Brexit we will have) will be put off iindefinately. The oil and gas tax raid will make North sea investment untenable that's 120,000 jobs on the line BTW). 5-10% fall in private pension plans due to telecom nationalisation(s) at rates specified. 20% off private pensions due to stock market crash. Initial capital flight from the UK elsewhere will be 300bn as soon as a Labour victory becomes clear. Maybe double/treble that within a week. Tax income from the City will fall dramatically.
Tax reduction is always at the top of every companies wish list.

Lets be honest its looking like a hung parliament and depending on how the numbers fall then Labour would form a coalition with the SNP being the preferred option. Lib Dems are haemorrhaging votes with a leader who is bat shit crazy with all the charisma of a wet smelly sock.
I have to say, it's like she's forgotten everything that happened before when she was in the coalition.
Almost like she's thought she's used a MiB flashlight on the nation!

To be fair mate anyone who voted in a country that elected Trump should not even be talking about politics.As an American and casual observer of UK politics I'm generally confused by the Labour party and pretty amazed how (it seems) they won't win this election. The Tories appear to be wildly incompetent, unpopular, and have mismanaged Brexit on practically every level yet all I read about is how Corbyn can never win and allegations of antisemitism. How did this happen? Have any of you guys read anything recently that could bring me up to speed? I really can't believe how even after everything that's happened since 2016 that Boris Johnson will likely continue as PM.
