Labour "source" blames Hammas for losing Birmingham Mayoral race. PR team jump on and say the person who said it doesn't represent them.

That’s the worry and the turnout of just over 32% is desperately low.

What’s wrong with people that they simply can’t be arsed to vote anymore?

For me there's no point voting in council elections.

The central government are strangling councils funding, so no matter who is in it will look shite.

Another failed MP/Careerist parachuted in from London to an area she knows fuck all about.

Made a couple of "Vox Pops" with hand picked party members as her campaign.

I hate to say it but it was only Bradley and an independent who wanted to abolish the role that actually looked serious about doing the role in the debates.

The independents will make it worse though. They may well have good intentions, but they don’t know how the world works.

There seems to be an issue surrounding shops and pubs shitting and being turned into HMOs. No council will stop that as they will get council tax from each bed sit, instead of having vacant, crumbling buildings.

It’s not ideal, but with the high street dying and hostelries going the same way, those buildings are better used than left empty.
