A few years ago, City Utd Arse Chelsea Liverpool Everton would have all beaten them at least once, possibly twice. All are a pile of fucking shit in the Prem. Most of them would have beaten Spurs as well for that matter.

I think overall the premiership has increased in quality,
This season at times West Ham Southampton Liverpool Spurs Stoke & Arsenal have all played some pretty decent football at times though rarely consistently. Villa have been the only consistently poor team, getting the points that Leicester have done is a pretty impressive achievement. I also think that this Spurs side if they stay together will be a top team for a few years, not to sure that any non title winners for many seasons would have beaten them with any consistency.

I think the crap teams have improved but the best teams are nowhere near as good. But all will improve in the next year or so.

As an example, Utd had Tevez Rooney Scholes Giggs Ronaldo Ferdinand Vidic at their peak a few years back whilst Chelsea had Drogba Terry Lampard etc.

Spurs are absolutely nowhere near either.

Even arse had Fabregas RVP Nasri etc. Spurs themselves had Bale Modric as well as a younger DeFoe plus freak, Ledley king. Liverpool even three seasons ago with Gerrard Suarez, Sturridge & Sterling pissed on the current version.

We were miles better with all our best players younger & less Pellegrinied. Moyes' Everton was far harder to play than Martinez'.

The league has become more attritional but there are no top quality teams in it imo. Hence Spurs & Leicester. They are 'awkward' rather than high quality imo.

Normally I'd derive a great deal of pleasure watching them fuck it up. However, considering we can no longer catch them and the only team who can is Spurs, I would rather suck out the arsehole of a scabby tramp than Spurs win the league. We would never hear the fucking end of it. Those cunts haven't won the league since 61 but they still have a superiority complex and think of themselves as one of the elite of Europe, instead of the 3rd or arguably 4th biggest club in London. They are a bunch of utter fucking cunts and their name was on the infamous Arsenal headed letter that tried to fuck us over via FFP. Fuck Spurs.

I think you are to a certain extent remembering each individual team at its best they rarely competed with each other at the same level. We were excellent when we won the title under Mancini for much of the season but I would say we were only slightly better than now when we limped into second place the following season.
United at their best had some fine players but frequently they were unchallenged.
I don't think any recent Arsenal team has had players significantly better than Sanchez or Ozil, RVP was a permacrock.
I think the current Spurs side play with a tactical awareness that would walk all over anything any previous Spurs sides had and the players you mention did not peak at the same time Scott Parker was considered a great player and Gomes was their keeper .

I don't think todays best teams are as good as the very best teams of the past but few of them were at their best at the same time. Leicester and Spurs have gained a very respectable points total in a league which overall is probably more competetive than it has been though I would agree that some of the best sides of the past are better than the current top teams but only when they were at their best.
