It's difficult to understand why Liverpool have concentrated so much on the Carling Cup now that the battle for 6th/7th place has heated up.

if they fail in the league they can still qualify for europe through the league cup and with only cardiff left they should make it.

Got a ticket for the game late on Tuesday, sat in the stands amongst the scousers, City fans to our left, to be fair they were'nt that bad, until we scored!. This seat included the corporate facility, meal before etc etc.

Apart from the disappointment of the result, the seat was a park bench, the view restricted, the food was average, made me realise how lucky we are to have our owners and indeed all they bring, lucky enough to have attended the city corporate facility this season, there is no comparison, no wonder they hate us, on the pitch, they hate our stadium, they hate our fan base, along with the scum they hate anything thats better!

A few ex players, hansen, thompson, case all grinning shaking hands, like they had won the final, we just smiled think we were the only blues in that area.

They desperatley want we have, though they would'nt admit it.

Doesn't surprise me one bit that Liverpool fans are trying to justify it by comparing it to something equally loathsome that was done to them. They seem to have a history of making excuses and turning themselves into victims.

In the last couple of months

1. lfc player calls opponent a racist term 10 times during match... gets banned
2. lfc team AND manager wear t-shirts sticking up for said racist
3. lfc fan racially abuses Oldham player
4. lfc stadium filled with boos at opposing player who reported the racism from no.1
5. lfc fan caught doing monkey impressions during match including opposing player from no.1

Now is it just me or does anyone else sort of see a trend here.

My window cleaner is a season ticket holder for the Kop and I've just had a conversation with him about the carling cup game.

He agreed that Dowd got it wrong on both penalty issues but then countered with the following arguments:-

Liverpool deserved to win because Hart was busier than Reina
We're [Liverpool] gonna do the double this year [FA and Carling Cups]
We'll [Liverpool] win more trophies than you with your expensive squad
