Just watched the Rags against Reading. If, and that's a bif if, they play like that next week, they will get murdered. Even Bacon Face said it was their worst performance of the season. (how many more can they get away with?)

And hilariously and typically Capt Scarlett , Big Ears and Co on MOTDchose to ignore that and focus on Shrek's 'amazing talent' ..... errrr..yup...

Utd are there for the taking, if we have the guts to do what Toffees, Spuds and Norwich did and take the game to the fookers.. press in defence stretch the in attack .. AT PACE

Score early and then hammer the fookers til they collapse.. they have been getting away with it lots, 3 teams have sussed em out and Villa nearly did the same

C'mon City !!!!

Hope for an exciting game back and forth, really open game, tied at the full 90, 4 minutes added, 96 minute final attack, we all hated that moment, but this time...

AgüerOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

City 1 - 0 manushit. I would be delighted if this happened.

Mirror:

David Silva is fit for the Manchester derby after a dramatic recovery from a hamstring injury.

Manchester City's Spanish playmaker has responded well to special training sessions arranged by the champions' medical staff over the past three days.

He has come through them well enough to make himself available for Sunday lunchtime's second vs first showdown with neighbours United at Eastlands.

It is the news that Blues manager Roberto Mancini was desperate to hear for a game he knows becomes an almost must-win shoot out, both in terms of the title race and his own job security.

Silva did not even travel to Germany for the Champions League humiliation in Dortmund, as fears grew about his fitness.

Mancini explained his star's hamstring injury was related to issues with his back, leading to fears Silva could be sidelined for some time while specialists attempted to get to the root of the problem.

The Italian manager has been left under some pressure following City's dismal showing in the Champions League - defeat on Tuesday meant they not only crashed out of Europe, but collected the lowest points total ever by an English club in the group stage of the competition.

While City's Premier League form has been far more consistent, there have been signs of late that they are beginning to struggle - they were lucky to take a point against Everton last weekend, for example.

Beating United at the weekend would take a massive weight off Mancini's shoulders, as it would not only give the Blues the edge in the title race but would show they are mentally unaffected by their European woes.

just hope the two OAPs start for them and with there injury problems mounting it looks like they will if thats the case we could get 4 or 5 but i'd take 1-0 now

while they do have a weakness in midfield...the addition of RVP allows Rooney to play deeper and this inturn makes them stronger than last year......they are better than some people on here give them credit and it will be easily our hardest league game so far....

they are a very dangerous team if they can get at our badck four and thats whay worries me...we are so wide open in the space in front of our back 4 this season....its really not good and rooney will exploit that ....and we all know how lethal RVP is..all he needs is one chance

seconded on both counts btu i higly doubt we will see milner (unfortunately) and the thought of kolorov and maicon just worries me

Rags have no Valencia or Nani so our left side might not be too exposed? In fact they may have to play the diamond formation they have found awkward if they plan to be adventurous at all as I think Ashley Young is their only fit winger. That or pack the midfield like in April.
