Rags have no Valencia or Nani so our left side might not be too exposed? In fact they may have to play the diamond formation they have found awkward if they plan to be adventurous at all as I think Ashley Young is their only fit winger. That or pack the midfield like in April.

didnt realise they only had the one winger fit...young is still a decent player and a good threat however...but like you say this may leave them a little over exposed int he middle

my main worry however still remains rvp and rooney and hernandez (who is a real poacher)..if all 3 of these play they could cause us real problem with our lack of cover infront of our back 4...especailly centrally as you say they may play rooney a bit deeper in a diamond formation

David Silva is fit for the Manchester derby after a dramatic recovery from a hamstring injury.

Manchester City's Spanish playmaker has responded well to special training sessions arranged by the champions' medical staff over the past three days.

He has come through them well enough to make himself available for Sunday lunchtime's second vs first showdown with neighbours United at Eastlands.

It is the news that Blues manager Roberto Mancini was desperate to hear for a game he knows becomes an almost must-win shoot out, both in terms of the title race and his own job security.

Silva did not even travel to Germany for the Champions League humiliation in Dortmund, as fears grew about his fitness.

Mancini explained his star's hamstring injury was related to issues with his back, leading to fears Silva could be sidelined for some time while specialists attempted to get to the root of the problem.

The Italian manager has been left under some pressure following City's dismal showing in the Champions League - defeat on Tuesday meant they not only crashed out of Europe, but collected the lowest points total ever by an English club in the group stage of the competition.

While City's Premier League form has been far more consistent, there have been signs of late that they are beginning to struggle - they were lucky to take a point against Everton last weekend, for example.

Beating United at the weekend would take a massive weight off Mancini's shoulders, as it would not only give the Blues the edge in the title race but would show they are mentally unaffected by their European woes.

I don't believe a word what is printed in this comic, I will believe it when the team is announced.

I'd absolutely love either of these two outcomes:
-Absolutely tear them a new arsehole and knock em for 5 or 6
-Or score a dubious winner in the 97th minute after only having 3 minutes additional time given.

The thing is, 4 or 5 years ago I used to fucking dread derby day.
Now I know we are better than them, and they really do not scare me.
How many times have we said it over the last couple of seasons, if you attack them and get at them, they really are nothing special.
How many teams have we seen over the last couple of seasons, play them with no fear and get at em, and win!?
Fergie knows If he tries to attack us, that will play into our hands, and we will get them on the break every time!
Get out the traps early and get at the fuckers! Get an early goal, and make them come at us!
Lets hurt them again!

3-0 Aguero, Tevez (2)

United have looked exceedingly weak as of late, especially their backline. Both squads have injuries, but I strongly feel that they are there for the tacking. Let's show some ruthlessness and play them off the park...! I'd love to see a 4-1-3-2 on Sunday.

Start of this video, Robbie Savage chooses United Strikeforce over ours (fair enough) but then shockingly says our defense has been weak of late.
