The match day buzz never leaves.

I would love to be there but just had hip replacement

I have missed Brighton, Lisbon, Spurs x 2 due to this and now tonight

Fingers crossed I ok for Sunday at the dippers as this is driving me mad not being there

Never the same for me once we left Maine Rd. The pubs in Moss Side and Rusholme. The Whitty, the Welcome and the Bee Hive especially, the chance to drown your apprehension in good draught bitter. Doesn't seem the same I'm town even, when we head east rather than south. CTID but something was lost when we left Maine Rd which I don't seem to be able to find.
Spot on mate

There are many older blues who would return in a flash if they could and I am one of them. If I had one football we ish it would be to walk up the Kippax steps and sing my heart out. Alas

Here's a question I've asked several times but never got the answer. If you walked out of the Kippax towards the junior school on the left of it 100 yards or so past there was a Wilson pub on the corner I'd drink in now and again. Do you know name?
Sherwood

I left at half time tonight totally bored out of my skull. Regular since 1996 and home and away from 2007-2013. Unfortunately for many the match day buzz has been totally lost

The weird thing is that for anyone who hasn’t missed a home game since about the late 70s, they’d have been to more games at the new ground than they would at Maine Road.

Thanks blue but It wasn't The Sherwood on Claremont Road. Pub I'm on about was on a corner backstreet Wilsons pub towards Claremont Road walking from the Kippax.

Apart from Kippax Street itself, the only routes from the ground to Claremont Road, is either via Maine Road or Yew Tree Road. And you’re talking probably 50 yards at most.

You must be going back a very, very long time, or getting a bit mixed up here I think.

First game fifty five years ago , If it wasn’t for meeting mates in town for a beer I’d call it a day , hate the whole concept of the “match day experience “ and corporate bullshit , it’s now a game with no soul .
