The Media Against Pep?

Wouldn't mind betting all 3 of the incidents that mullock mentioned were the piss can XD

I'll take that bet, how much?

Just kidding, he mentioned in the article that the manager that punched him was involved in a relegation battle.

I came into work this morning and immediately 2 members of my team tried to wind me up.

One a female colleague started with this "oh what was with that football manager the other night, did anyone see his interview with the press, he looked like he lost the plot"

I then replied "you mean our manager (City's)"

She then replied "is that who is manager of, he looks mental and looks like he has lost it"

at the same time she looked over at my other colleague who is a staunch Liverpool fan by the way, who I knew had got her to mention it to try and get at me, he spouted "he has lost it him"

To which I just replied "He might be nuts, but he is our nutter, come on Pep give the press a load of shit"

They couldn't come back with anything. And that is what we all have to do, circle around both our club, our manager and our players and take this now as a siege mentality.
I had similar when I got into work.... General consensus seems to be that the premier has broken Pep. Which of course the press are just fucking waiting for.

And then I come on here and there are our own fucking fans coming out with similar shite.

We really need to get behind him, not be stabbing him in the back, because I do think he will walk if it happens too much.

Refreshing!

It hits the nail on the head, talksport (yes I know but it is comedy listening really) were spouting all kinds on drivetime, Pep shows no respect to the journalist, Pep was arrogant to the journalist, It was the way he said it blah blah blah.

This so called journalist by the way is an employee of talksport that they were referring too. I get it sticking up for their mate and all that, but as the article above states it is all a load of bollocks. Pep doesnt have to show respect because you are a bloody journalist, he will respect you as a human being and that is what he did by saying what he did at the very end of the interview by saying it was no way intended directly at him.

He was absolutely funimg with the decisions he is experiencing in this league, that totally differ from one game to another and also dependant on what team is playing (we know who)

They wanted to slant it in a negative way and they did

edit - I will just add that the tweet last night regarding the BBC chickening out of showing the baconface stormout back in the 90's was pure class - well done

It is about time that we started to ban any reporter and his paper, and any broadcaster be it television or radio, that makes a knowingly false statement about the club, until they have issued an apology to both the club and the fans. Maybe it is about time that we got tougher on all forms of the media

The club won't though. Seemingly coming from the top the media team are instructed to be kind, treat the bastards well and try to influence constructively behind the scenes.

It's not working.
