The media/clutching straws

I think the coverage of city since they won the league has been very disappointing, considering it was only two days ago we clinched it,

Anyone hear the interview with Dennis Tueart on BBC radio yesterday, the morning after our win? The interviewer gave a perfunctory "Well done", and then asked Dennis: "What do you say when people say you've bought the League title?" . Next question: "But you haven't got the success in Europe that Manchester United have had, have you?" (why bring them into it????) . Next: "Aren't you going to get hit with a massive fine over FFP?"

No mention of our highlights, our achievements in spite of crippling injuries, our plans for the future, our potential development. Just negatives. I can't imagine any other club would be subjected to such a dampener being put on proceedings. Dennis did his best to put our case, but really the questions were loaded.

I am not an agenda freak, but listening to that, I felt as depressed as Greg Dyke must have felt on Sunday.

If England win the World Cup (you never know), will Hodgson be hounded with such crap interviews? Course not! Heroes! Giants! Wonderful!

Lazy, squalid journalism. I thought of making a complaint, but what good would it do? They'd never apologise or even print it.

Saves by an English keeper......
Top English goal scorer was produced by who's academy?
Shrewsbury Town?

Come on folks lets not go down the Rag route.
Yeah he came from the MCFC finishing school but his raw talent was identified elsewhere.

I for one am completely happy we have been relegated because English players didn't score enough goals. Happy we keep getting relegated every season based on the same criteria.. Some seriously stupid cunts about these days.. !

If the media can be this pathetic, then we can join them and declare were not racist, why should english players get special treatment when their quality is clearly not the same for the prices available. In most other professions hiring english people who arn't as capable as foreigners would make the newspapers just as touchy in the complete opposite way.

Like the context of it means anything, clearly just looking at ways to make united and liverpool look good when in reality they have the best english strikers, one who came through our academy, and rooney costing more than most other strikers in the league even though hes just not world class.

Yep, the Daily Mail would all be touching themselves, for days on end.
