The Most Negative Team To Visit The Etihad?

I remember Tony Pulis’ Stoke side setting up defensive, going 1-0 down early and then REALLY shutting up shop and not even trying to play on the break. Just happy to lose 1-0 and not get humiliated.

At least Newcastle yesterday had a go on the break and actually scored. And Chelsea last season held out for a while, so you could say it was working for them.

Stoke under Pulis were just happy to get beat and go home.

It was poor.
The worst though was City 0 rags 0.
Bobby played for a draw and bacon face was happy to play for a draw as well.
FA Cup winning season I think.

Was yesterday’s Newcastle team the most negative premiership opposition we’ve ever faced at the Etihad?.

If Benitez is a good coach then I’m a Dutchman. Thank god they didn’t get anything yesterday playing like that. I personally think that’s the most disgracefully negative performance, and there have been quite a few, I’ve ever seen from a visiting team in our 15 years at the Etihad.
Chelsea last season
