The Most Negative Team To Visit The Etihad?

Not the Etihad, but at Maine Road in about 1981 against Leeds United, under Allan Clarke. They only played for a draw. So negative. Kevin Reeves scored a last minute winner iirc.

Edit: just found it

A very good shout..... mind numbingly bus parking before it was called bus parking..... the place erupted when Reeves hit the winner in injury time.... I was in Platt lane right behind it when it went in

United last season has ti be up there, did we not set a league record for posesion in that match

The Rags in April 2012

That’s a great shout.

There have been plenty of candidates for this, and as bad as Newcastle were yesterday, at least they had a shot on target and scored, neither of which the Trafford twats managed.

The most attacking they were that night was when the pisscan tried to wind up Bobby on the touch line.

And remember how that ended?

There have probably been small clubs that have been more defensive, but it's a bit pathetic when a supposed title rival comes to shut up shop. Having said that, I can't look past some of David Moyes' Everton performances.

Remember this one quite clearly - Leeds showed no ambition whatsoever. We were in the North Stand that day, with two Leeds fans sitting behind us. To be fair, they were pretty good natured and the fans around me were having a laugh with them. We went up to celebrate Reeves's goal, and when we turned round afterwards, they'd slipped out. Good strike by Reeves:
