The new home shirt.

have to disagree with you there mate, imo it is one of the nicest kits weve ever had. I love the material as well, i prefer it to that cheap plasticy stuff previously used

Those sweaty nylon kits of yesteryear were terrible in hot weather. Even though this new one is 80% polyester it looks a lot more wearable in hotter climes. Taking mine to the Loire to wear beating RAG son-in-law at TT. Expect my expert at washing wife to have it as good as new when the score is 21 (still play the old game!) to anything less than 19, and the sweat's dripping off.

The players appeared to dripping in sweat last night. Wasn't the best of looks.

But I still love it.

Just got my shirt, it looks proper mint!

To say I'm excited is an understatement, I'm buzzing (perhaps more exicted than a 23-year-old should be!) just as much as when I can first remember getting a City kit in 95-96. First City shirt I've got in five years.

I have to say that quality-wise it's even better than I expected, really impressed with the cut and fit of the shirt, it's genuinely as if it has been tailored to my specifications. Went for a 38 chest in longsleeves, thought maybe a 40 might've been better for l/s after trying on an England shirt in that size, but very happy with what I went for. Perhaps would've liked white cuffs, but overally very pleased with the shirt.

The colour I am so very impressed with, I've been waiting and waiting for one of our kit manufacturers to come up with a blue colour close to that worn in the 60s and 70s, and without seeing one of those shirts in the flesh it looks like they've done it. Very pleased.

As has been mentioned, the kit would be perfect if the stripe on the shorts was maroon instead of blue, and the socks blue with maroon tops, but still I'm very happy with the whole kit.

Can't wait to see and buy the black away kit.

i love new shirt but the sizes are abit out of kilter to those with bumps. usually im a 40-42 in regular nike/puma/adidas tops. so i took into the changing room a 42 (thought would fit) and a 44 (just incase). and the shirt was a bit disproportionate chest/stomach/sleeve so both didnt fit so ended up with a 46! while the stomach/chest is rather baggy, the sleeves are "tailored". then again i do like baggy clothes so a 44 would have done

is the sizing the same as the england kit?

Would like to get the size right before ordering one.
Made the mistakeog going on my normal size with the le coq shirts last year and have some here hanging up with tags still on them. Costly mistake when our dollar is so shit to the pound! lol

Yes, identical I think. I got a City shirt in size 38 chest, tried on an England shirt with size 40 as I couldn't find a 38. So I'm pretty sure they're identical. Also I think the sizing chart is the same, if you manage to find one of those?

Did I get a City shirt here? Nah my dad ordered them off the O/S, yeah had to go to Rebel to try on an England shirt, unfortunately they didn't have any 38 chest so had to try on a 40, but knew after that 38 was the go. But yeah give Rebel a try cos the England sizing is identical, you'll get your City shirt size spot on if you try one of those on first.

Be interesting to see how many City shirts make their way out here in future years, but getting them from the O/S is still sooo much cheaper even with postage, cost us 125 quid even including postage for three shirts, one of which was longlseeves.

I think it looks fantastic. My only worry is that it doesn't seem as functional as a normal footie shirt. Loads of sweat showing on it from most players after the chiefs game the other night.

That's true, haven't worn it to run around in yet. Mind you, I've noticed that the same thing with Nike shirts from the last few years, the sweat marks being really visible.
