Yea saw that,I was always under the impression he was more a RL man,Warrington his team,but I think his father had somert do with them once upon a time,might still do,fuck knows,but as said Chorley would beat Bolton,(mind you Chorley will be mathematically down by Christmas the way things are going)

Yeah, his Dad was MP for Warrington. I remember Doug being elected and didn't clock that they were father and son. I think Dad was a President of Warrington Wolves.
 
Just watched him talking quite passionately about Parliament on C4 News just now. They were talking about the attack on Congress and he likened it to to the attack on the HoC - I found that he called PC Keith Palmer the "village bobby" was quite moving. He seemed to walk around his constituency doing a meet and greet with no security and was untroubled - harking back to proper politics.
 
I think he’s a decent man and I was glad to see him appointed. He’s had terrible personal tragedy in his life but he’s kept up work in politics. I’ve got to say, however, he’s disappointed me as Speaker. His inability to deal with the multiple cases of the Prime Minister telling lies in Parliament let’s himself and his position down.

I'm convinced he's more concerned about losing his peerage like Bercow if he pulls the lying cunts up.

Still, he's enforced the dress code so they look pretty when they parliamentary code by speaking.
