the news will get even better

Ha Ha, this is why I love Blue Moon.

TBH, I don't have a Scooby.

All I know is there a clear consensus to try and sign Torres.

I fear a Terry saga, a variety of other issues that might prohibit it, but that is only my opinion.

I'm just appreciative there is a common goal to try and sign the best striker in the world and Champions League qualification is perceived as no barrier.

Whether that is because of our mindset, or based on indications elsewhere, it would be hopeless me trying to mislead anyone.

Tend to agree about the Terry saga. What I would say is that, this summer, a world class striker is icing on the cake. The really key positions are RB and midfield (maybe LB/CB too). Whereas last season signing a player in Terry's position was absolutely essential.

I'm happy for them to pursue El Nino if it doesn't get in the way of signing our key targets in those positions. And obviously, if he did actually sign, I'd be off down the bookies to back us for the title.

Change that to definitely a left back and you're pretty much spot on.

Not a good move by the club, great player that he is, it will just make us even more of a target for the we are ruining the game brigade.
I think we should target the player "that is going to be a star" rather than the ready made over paid and over priced player. Adam Johnson was a step in the right direction as would Jerome Boateng, we shall see, but Torres not for me leave him at Liverpool for the sake of peace for everyone.

Er, yeah, we shouldn't want to sign one of the best strikers in the world :-S Are you mad??? Fcuk what everyone else thinks!

i heard from a dipper that torres had been in london for a couple of days meeting with abramovich ;S

For him, (Torres), personally it would make more sense to go to Chelsea based on their ever-present participation on the CL. Hopefully Torres will see we can become bigger and better than Chelsea and choose us. Sure another £50k a week ontop of what Chelsea offer will help, too.

Tomie, I never understand you mate. One day your coming in with your negative ITK shit, the next day its all fuckin roses saying were going to sign Messi and Pele...

Bazz, it's only perceived by some as negative, because it's what you might not want to hear, that doesn't make it any the less relevant.

Suppose football is pretty much the same - you have to take the rough with the smooth.

Torres would be smooth all the way if they manage to pull this off.

Think you may also do me a slight disservice in terms of me supposedly posting transfer names.

I rarely do that, certainly since Fabian Delph!

Our owners run too tight a ship for names to come out on the drip so widespread.

That, and I don't need hassle or ITK police nailing me to the cross.

Good faith, as always.

Tolmie, Where did you get that sleavless V next sweater from and will they be available in the club shop next year??

The failure to reach top four, will have no impact whatsoever on THREE targets we have been working on.

Was teased we would not be down in the dumps for long, assumed this was with being told Khaldoon had put everyone in the loop.

Forget second gear, we will be hitting fifth very very soon.

FERNANDO TORRES (watch this space)

There, I said it!

Do you mean that he is still our target or that we have actually signed him?
Because if it is the former I don't see a chance in hell of us getting him now that we do not offer CL football to be honest.

You sound totally convinced that he's coming...yes?

You even state that the last time you named a player it never transpired, so for you to do it now suggests that you are just about certain this time... otherwise you wouldn't hold yourself up for a good grilling!

So why the conviction at theis particular time, given the fact that I doubt if anyone seriously thought that he was a go-er given our lack of Champiuons League football.

Or is it just like Kaka and Terry and Ronaldinho before him... we are simply interested and at this stage and it's nothjing more?

Or is it something more?!??!!
