The next attack on City?

Non EU? Does that mean if Scotland vote "yes" and fall outside the EU, there'll be an embargo on the rich vein of Scottish talent that's been gracing our game for the last decade?
Yes, Gerry Creaney was my hero.

"That Goal could just about be the making of Gerry Creaney at City!"
- Gary Owen on Gerry's winner against Charlton Sept. 3 1996 Maine Road - what a moment in our history!

Dyke has just expanded on his plan, on Sky.

'If you sign a fantastic kid from Africa who is going to be a great player in 3 years' time, the rules will say no, you are not allowed to.'

Again, which club has just spent several years building up strong ties to Africa & lining up several exceptional prospects from there to sign? Why purely coincidentally, it's fucking City.

He is talking about stopping US the rag twat.

But of course if we want to pay more than 15 mil each for these players, we can but then it comes under ffp .

So fucking obvious.

Hopefully it's too late to stop Iheanacho but there are several other kids who we would have to get EU passports for if we want to use them.

How can it possibly be good for football, that no club would be allowed to sign a young Lionel Messi if he was from outside the EU ?

correct. We will have to get a load of women ready to marry them for a few quid.

Ridiculous arbitrary rule. Where did Dyke pluck that £15million cut-off from ... out of thin air ?

Didn't he used to be a season-ticket holder at Old Trafford ?

I think is the next attempt at trying to block our progress. What with New York and Melbourne , this is obviously an attempt to stop us having a huge scouting network worldwide.

Quite obvious that this is the next attack on us.

Ridiculous

It's bonkers. Not sure it's aimed at us thou as Falcao would not have been able to be signed under these rules as there is no mention of loan deals. Or will the player just have to be worth more than £15m? example; loans, players on free transfers/last year of contract? in that case it all becomes subjective about value.

The FA should be more concerned about appointing an England manager who isn't completely inept rather than this batshit crazy stuff that will cure all Englands ills.

Not sure but he is stupid enough. Who ask for this plankton to be in charge of the FA anyway? everything he comes out with is ill conceived, not of benefit to the game, the FA or football.

And because his stated aim is to help develop young English talent, the media will lap it up.

They told us we can't just go out and spend millions on new players its not fair. You have to develop the players yourself and grow organically.

The club spends over £100M on a state of the art academy and spends time and money building scouting networks and contacts around the world and now they say you can't bring non EU players.

£100M spent of New York City alone, just to get the franchise. Part of that is to ensure our name is mentioned every week in the MLS and to build our brand. Another part is to make sure we're first in the queue for any emerging American talent. Same with Melbourne and Australia. Except now Dyke is planning to hamstring our academy before its even opened its doors.

It fucking stinks.
