Anyway.....bit of a negative story for you.
My Dad,who has an existing cardiac condition, was walking very near to his surgery when he began feeling unwell. In his own words,he believed he was having a heart attack.
So,beginning to panic and feel extremely anxious,he presented himself at the reception of his surgery and requested for assistance. He was told that no GP's were available and that if he had chest pain to make his way to A and E.
He went outside and used his mobile to call an ambulance, which obviously arrived on an Immediate response.
I have since complained/enquired as to the standard/duty of care that was sadly lacking on this occasion, and we have received an apology and a promise the staff member concerned will be educated and (re)trained accordingly - the reply/result i wanted.
My dad is ok,thankfully.
